GOP Reps. Marjorie Taylor Greene (Ga.) and Chip Roy (Texas) have been fined for not wearing masks on the House floor, the Ethics Committee disclosed Wednesday.
Roy has been fined $500, since it is his first documented offense. But Greene was previously fined $500 in May for declining to wear a mask on the House floor, meaning that her latest fine will be $2,500.
House members can file appeals with the Ethics panel to contest the fines, but neither Greene nor Roy did so, according to the committee.
Roy said that he didn't try to file an appeal because he didn't think it would go very far, while reserving the possibility to take legal action.

Our country is being torn apart.
The cloth masks are ineffective theater.
And the only people who need to wear them are symptomatic spreaders. And then they need an N95 or equivalent to do anything. So they can make those available for anyone who thinks they may be symptomatic.
And that’s the only power Pelosi should have over elected officials. She wants to prove all the above otherwise, then by all means have real hearings. We now know that the school mask mandates aren’t based on any real studies but rather hysteria from the Teachers Union.
Burden of proof is on her.

I think constituents should take turns paying the fines, so that MORE Congress-critters will DEFY this STUPID mask mandates.

It deeply saddens me to say your sarc statement is even partly correct. Actually, jobiden in office for 3+ years is the less destructive route. That is to say Heels Up Harris would be a hell of lot more destructive and she doesn’t want the job and NO ONE wants her in the Oval Office. If jobiden steps down, Harris would step aside in short order. Then peelousy, schumucky and blinkin would decide who would ACT as president, not BE president. That whole chain of events would do more damage than jobiden can do, especially when the Republicans take control of the House and Senate.
Before Nanzi can fine anybody, she needs to show the masks work.
