The lockers full of ballots are held until late at night—and only used if needed.

There are Whites and non Whites. Whites are Whites irrespective of what language they speak.
Are Scandinavian Whites for example, any less White because they are Scandinavian?

No endorsements from BLM or black elected Democrats or the NAACP.

It is as if they are all saying, "The governor's office is no place for a black man!"

Newscum may be in trouble (probably not, they’ll probably just pull a 2020), but not Dems per se.

White has traditionally referred to people with European ancestors.

USA white Europeans vote about 60% Republican - even in California.

Hispanic whites, North African whites, and Middle East whites vote 60%-70% Democrat.

Rs are stupid, but not stupid enough to not use the same tactics.

Are there enough Rs in Cali that have not given up ?

CA lefty voters are as stupid as those in my state of USSR-WA.

And, if Newsome is out and Larry Elder wins, an outcome that would delight me, then the poor guy has deal with a overwhelmingly Leftist legislature.

Schwarzenegger had the same problem. He ran on a great agenda, emphasizing weakening the public employee unions. And he tried to deliver -- twice.

First Schwarzenegger tried to pass his conservative reformst agenda through the legislature.

Then, after that failed, Schwarzenegger put his agenda items on several ballot propositions -- and the voters went against them.

The same voters who put Schwarzenegger in office, when they had the chance, voted down the propositions Schwarzenegger ran on.

After that, Schwarzenegger gave up on reforming the unions. He fought for his agenda in the legislature, then gave voters a chance to pass it. When the voters wimped out, Schwarzenegger took an "I tried" attitude and turned to other matters, such as the environment.

I don't hate Schwarzenegger the way many conservatives do. He tried harder than do most elected Republicans. He gave up only after his base of voters gave up.

The governator won a popularity contest, that’s all. At the time, some of us FReepers were backing Tom McClintock, but were shouted down by other freeper-lites on the basis of “electability”. The same sort of RINOs who pushed TootyFruityRudy Giuliani, McCain, and Romney. Where are those GOPeRINOs now? Strangely silent, because they were wrong all along.

They have to cheat by double the margin of error just to break even.

California’s only hope is the Big One totally wiping out LA and SF.

Maybe change is coming to the bluest of blue states.

I'm not terribly optimistic about CA.

Did you read your own post? You said, wrongly, and I quote, "Um, Whites make up 49% of California's population."

BZZTTT. Wrong. Did you know population and voters are not synonyms? The white population is not 49%, not for 10 years. It is, as I said, ~35%.

The fact that you speak Spanish doesn't make you any less White. What more nonsense ya got?

Hey, did you bother to read the OP? Did you think the 49% of voters in the article didn't break out white from latino? I'll save you the struggle of trying to figure it out. It does. 49% of the vote was white, 31% latino.

PS: The reason it is obvious you are wrong, is that even if you thought that the number was combined white/latino, the population would be 71% white, percent of vote 80% white. So the 49% number you are hanging on never made sense, any way you try to make excuses.

That’s the problem. They’ve destroyed the electoral system, and even peaceful public protest isn’t allowed anymore. So the options aren’t good…and of course we have a senile idiot of a president who threatens to call in “F15s and nuclear weapons” against those of us who oppose the program.

I don’t think his handlers would actually let him do this, btw, but the fact that this threat occurred to him shows how far we have fallen.

Mother Earth may have a few earthquakes left for CA....

That is why I laugh out loud whenever the CA leftists talk about “sustainable” this and “sustainable” that.

The leftist CA cities are sitting in mega earthquake zones!
