Many White House staffers will mute their television or turn it off completely when President Joe Biden is speaking, administration officials said according to a Tuesday evening report.
The staffers say they are anxiety-filled when their boss makes public remarks, Politico reported, because they are worried he will take questions from the press or veer off message.
'I know people who habitually don't watch it live for that reason,' a current official said.
Biden has become known for being prone to gaffes – especially when he was on the campaign trail. During his Senate tenure, Biden also was long-winded with reporters because he wanted them to understand his perspective.

Hey, I guess we have something in common after all. I can’t stand to see or hear him either.
Wow! I guess I’m not the only one who can’t stand the sight of him or the sound of his voice. I literally change the channel or turn of the set when his “Statler” face comes on the screen.
I have an image of them, walking through an airport and glancing up only to see Biden on television, they drop their bags, squeeze their eyes shut, insert their fingers in their ears, and yell “LA LA LA LA LA LA LA!”
We NEVER did this with President Reagan. Rather, we looked forward to his clever one-liners, and other memorable comments.
Biden is in real danger of becoming an adjective. Monica Lewinsky will never be able to to go back to noun status.
