Hillary Clinton was arguably one of the people most affected by the affair between her husband President Bill Clinton and former White House intern Monica Lewinsky, and the subsequent scandal that broke out when the then-commander-in-chief lied under oath about his sexual relationship with Lewinsky.
But in the Tuesday premiere of FX’s “Impeachment: American Crime Story,” Hillary Clinton (played by Edie Falco), then the first lady of the United States, is seen only once and has just one line, “Hello,” which she says to White House employee Linda Tripp (Sarah Paulson) while they are both washing their hands in the West Wing’s communal ladies room in a scene that takes place during Clinton’s (Clive Owen) first term.

Watched some of it last night......definately boring and really is about Linda Tripp. Of course with Lewinsky one of the producers it’s going to be slanted accordingly. ....I won’t watch any further....it drags out and uninteresting.

It would be really hard to put her enabling activities in a positive light. So, they just decided to not depict her, at all. Any attempt at a whitewash would be very evident to anyone who lived through the 1990’s.

Who would want to play that part? Don’t you think Hillary would do everything she could to END the career of an actress who played her in anything but a flattering manner?

Interesting is that the series was originally filmed for the first two seasons at Disney/ABC, L.A., and distributed by them for the remained of the series, and the original release point was FX that is also owned by Disney. What a surprise.
