What the bill does, is to standardize the voting process across the state, so that no one County can devise voting procedures willy nilly, that are not already allowed across the state. It's easier to audit voting and monitor for voting abuses this way, which insures a standard of fairness all across the state.

But..But...voting integrity is CONTROVERSIAL (WAAH!) according to Fox “News”.

Will there be a boycott of Texas now, by various liberal organizations?

Does Foxnews call HR1, which would code into law many of the ways that make cheating easier, “controversial”?
To: Texan4Life
Every state should do this.

Controversial, according to whom??? I hate negative editorial adjectives in the lead or headlines, such as controversial, hardline, divisive, etc. They’re no longer hiding their bias.
To: Texan4Life
Do they call people crossing the border illegally by the millions controversial?

Integrity of any kind is anathema to leftists of every kind.

“Will there be a boycott of Texas now, “
I hope so. It’s the fault of Texas Freepers for the past 20 years hyping up the state. Instead of “come on down” they should have said “we have lynchings, KKK meetings and gun games every day” to scare off liberals from moving there.

It's right in the journalism standards guide, anything the left doesnt like is to be described as "controversial". Any objections made by the right are to be described as "baseless claims".
Fox is just following the same standards as CNN and MSNBC

Everything is “controversial” that the Left doesn’t agree with.

It is only controversial if you believe that a certain race doesn’t have the wherewithal/capability/intelligence to obtain a photo ID
To: Texan4Life
“Controversial?” What nonsense. The new law actually LIBERALIZES many election features, just like the leftists want. It EXTENDS voting hours during Election Day, among other things.
