Sen. Tex Cruz blasted President Biden after reports that a number of adult male Afghan refugees had arrived in the United States with child brides.
“There have been multiple cases of child brides and polygamous families from Afghanistan arriving at military bases here in America as part of their botched evacuation,” the Texas Republican said in a Friday statement.
“These reports are credible and horrifying. President Biden had no plan for a secure, orderly, and responsible withdrawal from Afghanistan. Instead, the President and Biden-Harris officials imposed arbitrary deadlines for political purposes.”
Cruz said he had argued for refugees to face additional vetting in third countries and accused the president of importing “an acute human rights crisis into the United States.”
The issue came to public spotlight after an internal State Department document “reported multiple cases of minor females who presented as ‘married’ to adult Afghan men, as well as polygamous families,” arriving at Fort McCoy, about 100 miles northwest of Madison, Wisconsin.

After all is said and done, it’s probably better for a child bride to be brought to the US, where she may have some legal recourse, than left in Afghanistan to the tender mercies of the Taliban and sharia.

Cruz is right of course. But Biden doesn’t give a damn about children. You only need to look at the dead, sick, and unaccompanied children pouring across the border. Not to mention the cartels selling them to who knows who.

I have never been a big Cruz fan (tho he has been on the right side of many issues), I appreciate his stand on this.

If she renounces Islamic Cult and there is no chain migration, maybe. But the rest go home.
Some girls in Afghanistan were sold-off in marriage when they were as young as nine years old.
Do you think they know enough about anything at all, to ‘renounce’ anything?

We don't need anymore of this Muslim invasion. The refugees should be resettling in Muslim countries, not here.
Well, tell that to the young girl who doesn’t know anything about politics, and probably hasn’t even been allowed to READ the Koran - much less been exposed to anything more enlightened.
She didn’t choose to live under Sharia - all she’s known is ignorance and abuse all of her life.
But, just send her back to a Muslim country, where she ‘belongs’.

Send them to anywhere on the globe, just not here. There is no legal recourse needed. In the meantime, let them spend tomorrow night at Gitmo or even Diego Garcia the next night and for as long as it takes until they are relocated to an Islamic state that will take them.
