Omar bin Laden, the son of archterrorist Osama bin Laden, apologized for his father's actions and said he plans to visit Israel together with his wife.
Omar was expected to be his father's heir and the future leader of the Al Qaeda terror group, but he has rejected the task.
In an interview with Yediot Aharonot, the younger bin Laden spoke about a meeting in which his father asked several of his young children to be martyrs, and described the horror he felt at that.
"My father hated his enemies more than he loved his sons," Omar told the Israeli newspaper. "I felt stupid for the life that I wasted and I knew that I was leaving, and leaving very soon."

At the age of 40, after living in Saudi Arabia and Afghanistan for many years, Omar is now an artist and lives in Normandy.

I was going to post something snarky about this, but you know, if this man is sincere in his abhorrence of what his father did and stood for, well, more power to him, I guess. It takes a lot to admit it when a family member is an S.O.B.
When will Mad Mo’ apologize for his violent cr@p?
If it were a Madoff admitting that his father was a con artist, or an abused daughter of a drunken father, you’d be right. But what to do if your father’s a mass murderer and you don’t like that fact? Only Omar bin Laden and the youngest son of Adolf Eichmann have that distinction that I know of. And the people are still dead, notwithstanding the disavowals. It’s not like they’re going to get into the saddle and become mass murderers themselves. So what does their disavowals amount to? Are they going to devote their lives to repairing some of the harm that their fathers did? That might be excessive. But other than saying, “I will not kill millions/thousands like my father did. Mass murder is bad,” they really haven’t done anything. Yet, at least.
The part about his father hated his enemies more than he loved his sons sounds sincere.
Seeing as he’s been dead for a millennium and a half, it’s unlikely. And as for his descendants, Sallahdin made sure he didn’t have any by sparing the lives of the Egyptian Fatimid Caliph’s children on condition that they never breed.
The fellow sounds like a typical liberal. Osama had 20 to 26 kids. Does that mean 6 kids are not sure who their dad was?
Beware of Trojan horses. C’mon man, the guy is from the worst terrorist family ever. If he’s seen the light, good for him. I will keep my powder dry. And yes, some of bin Laden’s extended family renounced him even before 9/11. Still, the son of Osama?
deadman walking...
Osama's nice, Noor Bin Ladin @NoorBinLadin is a big MAGA person and Trump supporter on Twitter.
So he made no mention of living in the city of Qom in Iran?
I'll believe it. For whatever reasons, Osama became radicalized and that led him to jihad.
Read up on Mitsuo Fuchida a Japanese Airforce Officer during WWII.
Krusvhev jr always said his father was batty.
It’s hard, but the Bible does say forgive the sons of the fathers and vice versa. I assume that doesn’t count if they’re complacent in the war crimes though.
Apologizing and asking for forgiveness is a good start. But only a start.
I do feel that the sins of the father should not be the burden of the child.
But I also know enough to be wary of Muslims making nice. I haven’t forgotten 9/11.
The sign in the window says “FYND”….
I did a double take.. I thought it said “NYFD” at first.
The problem is more that islam as a whole is responsible for 9/11 moreso than the individual.
It’s how it was founded, and taught, and so on. So on that I say they’re all culpable. I will give the offspring their chances though, not their fault unless they were involved.
He better have good protection after dissing one of the muzzies’ saints.
Got that right; he’s toast one day soon.
Neither one carried their fathers guilt. Why should Eichman’s son dedicate his life to the impossible task of repairing the acts of his father?
Have YOU spent your life running around owning and fixing your OWN father’s screw ups?
That’s un-American and un-Christian to blame a son for what his father did, especially since both are obviously repelled by what their fathers did.
