The stolen election myth inspired thousands of Trump supporters to take over the Republican Party at the local level, exerting more partisan influence on how elections are run.
One of the loudest voices urging Donald Trump’s supporters to push for overturning the presidential election results was Steve Bannon. “We’re on the point of attack,” Bannon, a former Trump adviser and far-right nationalist, pledged on his popular podcast on Jan. 5. “All hell will break loose tomorrow.” The next morning, as thousands massed on the National Mall for a rally that turned into an attack on the Capitol, Bannon fired up his listeners: “It’s them against us. Who can impose their will on the other side?”
The solution, Bannon announced, was to seize control of the GOP from the bottom up. Listeners should flood into the lowest rung of the party structure: the precincts. “It’s going to be a fight, but this is a fight that must be won, we don’t have an option,” Bannon said on his show in May. “We’re going to take this back village by village … precinct by precinct.”
Precinct officers are the worker bees of political parties, typically responsible for routine tasks like making phone calls or knocking on doors. But collectively, they can influence how elections are run. In some states, they have a say in choosing poll workers, and in others they help pick members of boards that oversee elections.

The only way..the GOP is useless at the federal level...
There is going to be a flood of ex military people running
What’s this crap?
Great, maybe we can have honest open elections without democrats CHEATING !!!
The stolen election was no myth. It happened.
The stolen election is not a myth. They are in denial themselves.
When a beer comes to a head and it overflows it’s not good. Wasted beer. I’m afraid we can overdo it if we’re not smart. We have to take advantage to our opponents overreaching. CRT is a perfect example. Are we afraid of being labeled as racists to the point where we are defending ourselves from the label?
California recall is 10 days away. Sign carrying rallies are not enough.
For decades we sat by while election supervisor roles were filled by cheating leftists. As a result, fraud, fraudulent machines, negligence, and other mechanisms have caused the current disaster (which these authors call “denial” is you notice it out loud.)
As a result, patriots are contesting and winning these spots so as to enforce election law and stop fraud. This freaks out the left who thought they had a permanent lock with systemic fraud and a compliant GOP.

The same propagandists who wrote this article were no doubt pushing the Russia hoax.
Fear porn to get their airheads fired up.
Propublica, part of the propaganda apparatus of the communist/Borg.
No. That’s a given. What’s this leftist publication crap

Why bother with the hassle of fighting the incorrigible GOP? Why waste precious time and energy? Just start a new party that actually stands for something. Build it and they will come.
One thing that really strikes me about almost every article that pooh-poohs the idea of election fraud: The person who wrote it seems never to have checked any of the available data to find out whether any fraud actually took place. There are so many indicators that something went wrong that it’s outrageous, and not opinion - the results of audits are publicly available! They just don’t bother to check at all, they just write what they’re told to write.
Apparently, being VERY OBEDIENT is the way to keep your writing job these days.
How dare Conservatives get involved in politics at the local level. The temerity of them!
That this collection of moronic clowns can strongly opine on
partisanship by the gop shows low intelligence.
That or willingness to lie, obscure, or otherwise pretend democrat
partisan interference does not exist in elections is typical of
liberal progressives.
Or all the above.
The Republican party hasn't overdone anything in my lifetime. Can you think of anything the Rs have overdone?
Losing.
Being the stupid party.
That they have overdone, like a burnt piece of toast.
The stolen election is not a myth. They are in denial themselves.
I would call them liars instead of deniers. Anyone with a functioning brain cell knows it was stolen.
