If only there were 49 other states where abortion was legal. . .

Gotta love the comments about going back to the Dark Ages. The "right" to an abortion is a very recent thing, within the last 50 years. Before that, you just had the baby. The horror; the horror.

Perhaps this law will keep abortion defenders from moving to Texas.

“the guardian” no longer capitalizes “the US supreme court,” a proper noun?

This has nothing to do with women’s rights. It has to do with the rights of an unborn person’s life anywhere. Killing a living person in the womb for any reason is still killing a person. The woman will continue.

“My now husband and I had just started dating and we weren’t financially or emotionally ready to have children.”

If you weren’t financially and emotionally ready to have children then why did you take the chance of creating a life that you had to make that decision on? The only innocent thing here is the unborn child, and you are a self absorbed idiot. If you weren’t financially or emotionally capable of making the child, then you, most likely, weren’t financially or emotionally capable of making the decision to end it’s life because it only effects the unborn.

“…it was my body, my choice.”

And that’s where the breakdown exists. It was your body, yes. But only to enjoy the fun of what you did until the bill came due. Then you copped out with lame excuses to get rid of the problem. If that person had gotten into a car with no license, hit someone head on, and killed them, is it any different than “playing around” for recreation purposes, and deciding to kill an unburned from the result they are responsible for?

Her body is not the issue when it comes to abortion. The life of an unborn person is. The only difference is that she got that way by using it for recreation and it is going to kill someone. Again, she’ll still be around. The unborn won’t and it’s life is taken for somebody’s pleasure in way too many occasions.

Suggestion, since the law is not going to get it done, then put the problem back into the hands of the people. If a couple gets an abortion for other than lawful purposes, child dead in the womb or life threatening or judicial reasons like incest, then the two people must spend 6 months in jail and pay a hefty donation to a fund to assist the foster care system since that is where the other choice for the kids is. Make it illegal. Not the abortion, but the act of getting that way and using it as an excuse for getting out of it. And make adoption financially reasonable.

They love killing babies. They love the power of killing babies. They love the power of forcing people who abhor abortion pay for the killing of babies.

Yeah. The Dark Ages. Where the average woman probably valued the life in the womb much more than your average leftie woman does today.

The weeping and wailing and gnashing of teeth exhibited by the left over this TX law has been fun to watch. They're so unhinged. Their ancestors from the Dark Ages would scold them for being heartless and cruel to little babies.

Remember when feminists said their bodies belonged to them and no one else, and what they do or don’t do with their bodies was nobody else’s business?

Yeah, well now these same Leftists are demanding everyone be FORCED to have a Coronavirus vaccine.

By GAF limit has now been reached.

what they think it means for women’s rights.

The Supreme Court ruling doesn't mean anything for or against women's rights. The abortion crowd tried to bypass the lower courts to get a restraining order. The Supreme Court said "no", and told them to use the normal route to fight the law.

The Abortion industry and religion has been too extreme.

Roe V Wade was about the termination of pregnancies at an early stage and whether State’s had a legal interest in the unborn fetus prior to it being viable outside the woman’s body.

This was a slippery slope that the abortion advocates kept pushing the limits on. There is no constitutional right for a woman to practice infanticide. Partial birth abortions or the concept that a fetus can be destroyed for any and all reasons at any time prior to full birth has resulted in a reasonable backlash. The body part harvesting and sale of “human fetal tissue & organs” is perhaps the most uncivilized thing imaginable.

The Abortion Industry and Religion does not like the pendulum swinging back, but it was inevitable.

It is well past time that the abortion laws in this country were changed and that the laws were made at the state level and not the federal level.

Oh, boo-f***in-hoo-the poor little weak sisters may have to take personal responsibility for their own actions and give birth to their baby instead of having it killed in utero so they won't have to assume adult responsibilities-like motherhood...

I have no sympathy for these women-or their male partners, for that matter-I learned about birth control from my mom before I entered my teens-only mom could get birth control pills-but there were diaphragms, condoms, foam, cream, etc available at the drugstores in town-and even abortion-legal across the border-but that was infanticide and a sin and it still is

I was careless and clueless just the same-right out of HS, ran off and moved in with a student attending the local college, it didn't work out-went home to the family ranch and had my cub-never asked for any welfare, worked and paid for my own college education, etc-I was a single mom for 4 years-and I have no regrets-I honestly don't think any woman-any age-who is upset, terrified, whatever at the prospect of women not being able to kill a baby they conceived via consensual sex is either just plain stupid or totally self-absorbed...

The morning after pill and all other oral abortion pills are still available in Texas. For use prior to six weeks.
