Ramstein is one of the largest US airbases outside America and has become a crucial hub for the evacuation from Afghanistan following the Taliban take over. Since August 20, about 106 planes have landed there -- mostly C-17s, their cargo bays crammed with hundreds of evacuees at a time. The airbase was ready with tents to house 10,000 people -- but they quickly filled up.
As of Wednesday morning, almost 12,000 evacuees had left the airbase, while another 14,900 remained. The number of evacuees to have arrived at Ramstein so far is nearly triple the population of the German municipality that hosts the base.

He obviously doesn't remember ‘The Big Lift’. At the end of WWII, USAF delivered tons of medicine, food, coal, etc. into Berlin, daily ... and around the clock. Without mishaps, planes landed every day and all day long at about 15 minute intervals with nearly split second timing!
Everything was delivered to Templehoff air field ... Our guys loved barnstorming VERY close, right over the roof tops of the Russians’ barracks! Their windows and doors rattled incessantly and glass broke. One Russian said they were going crazy listening to that!! 🤣
Clearly the problem is the earth in Afghanistan, same as Africa. It’s not the people.
