The first estimate I saw from an administration spokesman was that there were between 5,000 and 10,000 Americans in Afghanistan. Just two weeks ago, Jen Psaki told us with seeming specificity that there were 11,000, or perhaps more:
We are — there have been — how the process works, I should say — I’ll tell you — is that there are individuals who will self-identify as American citizens — that number is around 11,000. Beyond that — around the country — beyond that, though, there are individuals who may not have self-identified, who may come and request assistance and come to the airport.
There obviously was some kind of process in which around 11,000 people “self-identified” as American citizens, yet that number has now been dropped to 6,000. Why? Further, subsequent to Psaki’s August 17 press conference the administration estimated that there were 10,000 to 15,000 Americans in Afghanistan.
If the Biden administration has tried to explain why its estimates of the number of Americans in Afghanistan, made just days ago, were so drastically off the mark, I haven’t seen it. Failing a meaningful explanation, one is tempted to assume the worst: that the administration has no idea how many Americans it has left to the mercy of the Taliban, and is simply pretending that there were around 6,000 Americans in-country when the evacuation began, because that is the number its pathetic operation was able to save.

They had months to get out. Most are Afghan-Americans who want to stay with family. That’s their choice. Glad the mess is over. We ended up with 117,000 Afghans here. That should be more then enough.
They thought they would be escorted out safely. Their President threw them to the wolves.
You’re aware many were unable to reach the airport. Many were told to shelter in place. So you’re ok with those left behind?
How do you know who /why they are there.
This is the reason Biden is bowing to the Taliban and probably throwing billions at them. They are trying to buy off the safety of those they stranded.
Well, officially at least anyway, nobody expected the Taliban to overthrow the government of Afghanistan. So many didn’t leave sooner because they didn’t think they would be living in a Taliban nightmare.
I read on citizens Free Press that 51 military service dogs were left behind. There was plenty of room for them. Muslims hate dogs.
Our military sneaked out in the middle of the night. Not even the Afghans that worked with them everyday knew they were leaving.

Far, far, far too many were men of fighting age: ISIS, Taliban & alQuaida, and we’ll pay the price as they form into new/existing terror cells, or commit the crimes like they’re doing in Germany, who’s refused to accept any more of them.

Read last night the service dogs being left behind. At what cost? To train these remarkable canines does not come cheap.
How many service men request adoption of their ‘4 legged friend’ and denied their request. And then, there is this:
we at one time had a prez who claimed to enjoy eating dog meat. Being a dog lover, sleep did not come easily last night.
I’m sure all of those dogs would have had a home. They should have shot them rather than leave them to a terrible fate.

Is The Pianists a movie?
Well, there were 51 American Service Dogs left behind.

And yes it is. It’s fascinating to watch the Jews accept more and more control over their lives, all the while thinking it would eventually end and it would be ok. But a lot happened between 9/1/1939 and April of 1945. And the movie doesn’t even really get into the ever escalating negative fate of German Jews before 9/1/1939.

Another thing: I wouldn’t doubt that the Muslims, who hate dogs, objected to the dogs being with them on the airplanes so the dogs were left behind.
