"Last night, a two star 82nd general, ordered 100 US Christian workers, along with 300 children, he ordered them off the airport grounds to wait for their charter flight which was to leave out today."

Were they the ones holed up by that hotel/school that was subject to a suicide bomb?

Why are they calling them “students” instead of “family members”? It’s the author wants us to think that these “students” are on some kind of school trip to generate sympathy. Not that they are a bunch of Afghans going back to visit relatives....which is kind of weird anyways for a big group to do that at once.
