Americans warned to get away from Kabul airport gates due to ‘imminent’ ISIS terror threat

Americans in Afghanistan are being warned to stay away from the Kabul airport due to terror threats tied to the Islamic State.

The US Embassy in Kabul sent out an alert early Thursday, Afghanistan time, telling US citizens not to travel to the airport “because of security threats outside the gates.

The State Department security alert also told Americans who where at three specific airport gates to “leave immediately,” without further explanation.

“US citizens who are at the Abbey Gate, East Gate, or North Gate now should leave immediately,” it added.

Multiple sources reporting "credible" threats of car bombs and other suicide bombers imminent at Kabul Airport. Also reporting Turk soldiers have left the airport.

Isn’t this the same State Department that said things were fine back in June, and that Kabul wouldn’t fall?

This is a made up story to scare people away from the airport so the troops can bug out. BBC reporting last evac flights today.

Yesterday it was reported Turk forces would be the last to leave. Now we hear they already left. Aircraft are leaving Kabul almost empty. Something is afoot.

Let’s just say the truth that career politicians and all their hangers on don’t want to hear. Career politicians are not, in general, very impressive people - nor are many (if not most) in it to “serve”. The truth is that people who have actually accomplished something in life (e.g. Trump) can come in and do a much, much better job running things than career politicians ever could. It’s just a fact - and is the real reason why the establishment hates Trump so much.

If he had screwed up royally they would not hate him. It’s the fact that he showed, through his success, how ineffective they are that drives their hatred. Their stature is more important to too many of them than is the sanctity of the US. If we continue to let career politicians run things they will drag the US into oblivion.

You are correct.

These career politicians attend the key parties, and gravitate toward other people they consider ‘sophisticated’ and in their ‘club’.

If they can’t control the leadership function....they will ensure stupid people arrive at the White House (like Bush, Obama or Biden) and they were controlled enough to reach the outcome the sophisticated crowd want as the end-result.

I don’t think they ever considered the scenario where a dementia-guy would be their lead-figure.
