You have to wonder sometimes, or at least I do....
Is there some cabal of evil cretins near the top of the government who come up with some weird, fabricated story that they release through lower-grade news sources (like Yahoo) in order to test public reaction? The general purpose is to create confusion and bafflement, but the secondary purpose is to float yet a different story to gauge the limits of what the public will accept .. perhaps with repetitions thrown in. And a slightly different story will be released by a somewhat more credible news source. And then a slightly altered story will be released by a rightish source. By the time this process is well underway, there is automatically a divergence of opinion, each side with somewhat credible sources, and in the end, nobody knows nothing about anything. There is nothing that can’t be denied and nothing that can be proven.
