In this clip from an interview with FOX News Channel's Tucker Carlson, reporter Lara Logan tries to break through the debate about why the government is saying "no one predicted" the fall of the Afghan government.
"The intelligence agencies failed to see this? Seriously? The NSA is known as the crown jewel of intelligence collection in the world," she said. "There isn't a digital signature in existence that they don't collect and store and analyze... The idea that they missed this... Do you have any idea what it takes to do an invasion like this?"
"It is as ridiculous as believing that Ahmed Chalabi, some Iranian refugee in the U.S., persuaded the U.S. government to go to war... I mean, that's literally our narrative on the Iraq War. Seriously?"
"We get so caught up in the weeds of this. They want you to believe Afghanistan is complicated. Because if you complicate it, it is a tactic in information warfare called 'ambiguity increasing.' So now we're talking about all the corruption and this and that... But at its heart, every single thing in the world... always comes down to one or two things."
"And in this case, Afghanistan, it comes down to the fact that the United States wants this outcome."

Chi-nah
The truth is they think Americans are pretty basic.
That’s why they think they can whizz on our legs and tell us it’s raining 24/7.
And with too many people who blindly trust government they’d be correct.
Anyone see any cuts to our spy agencies after WWII?
They wanted to get the muslims lots of equipment without having to go through the motions of secret sales etc.
Similar to when our drone “crashed” under Obama.
The Alphabet Agencies love this. It means bigger budgets, bigger salaries and more power for themselves: A bureaucrats dream.
There’s a reason Google’s parent company is called ‘Alphabet’.................
We collect tons of information.
Our leaders aren’t smart enough to know how to analyze and use it,
Bad Republicans they understand.
Maybe its because our Intel agencies consider its own citizens to be the “Clear and Present Danger” to global feudalisim.
We saw how the real Military works for 4 years. Their propaganda will not succeed!
Obama has advised joe that isis needs to be resupplied and resurrected.
Susan is going to use sockpuppet joe to implement big O’s policies.
25% of Americans agree with Joe Biden approach to Afghanistan, including leaving Americans behind.
That’s now. However, the media and the Biden Administration have taken a new stance. That stance is that the withdrawal was the right thing to do, and no matter how they did it, it would end like this. So, they did nothing wrong.
The whole thing has been so FUBAR, that’s it’s hard to believe it wasn’t planned to be like this. With the media’s unending support, American’s will begin to believe that this was the best exit strategy, and those people left behind didn’t matter anyway. Truly like George Orwell’s 1984 now.
Alex “They, President and Vice President, campaigned on the promise of winning the war in Afghanistan, because this is the war we had to win and the Taliban were so terrible”
Conservatives “Obama/Biden administration, Alex”
Alex: “Correct for 2 Trillion”
Our intelligence agencies are more of a threat to the citizens than what they pretend to protect us from.
And that's the end of the article. With no explanation, Logan is offering the reader nothing more than a completely unsubstantiated conspiracy theory.
I have a feeling 9/1 will make 9/11 look like small potatoes!
Excellent article thanks for posting.
One wonders if the UK (five eyes) and German intel cracked the Taliban code and were ready when the SHTF.
We had a snot nosed Navy Admiral in charge of our Army, Air Force and Marines an a country a few miles away from the nearest ocean.
Progressives: being evil since before I was born.
We collect tons of information.

“Anyone see any cuts to our spy agencies after WWII”?
Harry Truman found out that “Wild Bill” Donovan, head of the OSS was in cahoots with the Soviets and Chinese so he got rid of the OSS. The OSS was replaced with the CIA which was just as bad.
So, no, there have been no cuts.
No worries. She spends the rest of the 54-minute interview substantiating it in detail. Bear in mind that Lara didn't write this piece. What you're missing is the motherlode of info at the source:
