Former White House press secretary Ari Fleischer blasted President Biden’s Friday press conference on the debacle in Afghanistan, saying the president has put Americans “just one stray bullet away from a bloodbath in Kabul.”
“I don’t know that I’ve ever seen a politician, particularly at a perilous moment like this, be so in denial, out of touch, out to lunch and all around clueless,” Fleischer, who served in the George W. Bush administration, told host Rita Cosby on WABC Radio Friday.
“Joe Biden’s judgment on so many issues, for so many decades, has been so wrong, and we’re seeing it play out right now,” Fleischer said.
“Never in my wildest dreams did I think that the United States of America would be dependent on the tender mercies of the Taliban,” he added. “Our security at that airbase, our ability to have planes take off and land, is totally dependent on the Taliban’s restraint.”
“This is the consequence of Joe Biden just saying … ‘I’m smarter than all you generals, do it and do it now and do it on the timetable I told you.'”

Bush let the Taliban remain in existence after 9/11 unable and or unwilling to cut off the Taliban at their source Pakistan.
Pakistani military intelligence created the Taliban.
In Vietnam the Communists could supply their war effort through Haiphong Harbor unmolested by US bombing out of fear of a Soviet sailor getting killed on the supply ships starting a war with the USSR.
The harbor bombed by Nixon to get the peace deal finalized in 1972.

Very true. For folks who don’t remember, back in 2000 Bush asked Cheney to recommend someone for VP. And Dick Cheney recommended...Dick Cheney.

The Republicans and media keep giving Biden cover. He is not clueless. He has intentionally caused chaos in Afghanistan just has he has along our southern border. Just as the Democrats have in our inner cities and in the elections.
It is all by design. It is all intentional. They want to burn it all down and are to a good job at it.
Seems like the war on terror just got a little less “asymmetric”.
