Supreme Court Justice Amy Coney Barrett refused Friday to block the construction of the Obama Presidential Center in Chicago as demanded by an environmental group.
The groundbreaking for former President Barack Obama’s namesake library and presidential archives center began earlier this week, but Protect Our Parks, an environmental advocacy group, asked the high court to stop the construction.
The group lost multiple requests in lower courts to halt the construction of the Obama center because it is located in a public park, Jackson Park on Chicago’s South Side.
The case went to Justice Barrett because she oversees appeal requests from the 7th U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals, which includes Illinois. Justice Barrett had the authority to reject the request without consulting the other justices.

I have no idea if Protect Our Parks’ environmental claims had any merit whatsoever, but it’d have been fun to see Barry blocked.
To: Coronal
They refused to uphold the Constitution and block his usurpation, why would they step up now?

They did the right thing here. Unfortunately it is for this project. Can you imagine if they gave environmental groups that kind of power to stop building? I mean, even more than they have now.

So you want judges to make rulings based on politics rather than the law.

This Lie Barry is failing in its own. No need for SCOTUS to end it. Let it continue to fail.
I’m enjoying the screwing up going on here.

When can we get rid of zoning and get our private property rights back?

Obama Presidential Center
Flat black painted walls with black light posters and the lingering scent of weed.

The adopted kid from haiti was a red flag for me. I suspected she would do something like, say, cry over george floyd. Or something silly like that.

Correct.
I am sick and tired of conservatives bringing knives to a gunfight.

with a reprisal of the George Floyd mural thrown in for good measure. Hope the building has no grounding nor lightning rods.

Of Course she did.
It is an old well known and again coming into vogue doctrine.
Sovereign Immunity
Kings & other royalty can do no wrong.
So if President Sparklefarts wants his Presidential Center, he and he alone has a say, in where it goes.

Saul Alinsky wrote his rules for the benefit of the powerless - NOT for ‘the elites’... He would NOT be happy with what’s happening. Alinsky wad NOT a commie and he was NOT an ‘elites’...

You can see why conservatives would want that, can't you? Liberal judges have been doing it for years - and they have helped change America by doing so, while we rely on toothless recommendations from the Federalist Society who let us down over and over again.
For the record, I'm glad this environmentalist group did not get a win here. But I totally get why conservatives are tired of seeing only conservative judges respecting the law.

Please explain what Alinsky tactics have to do with this case.
