On Wednesday’s broadcast of “CNN Newsroom,” Rep. Seth Moulton (D-MA) stated that after going to war against the Taliban, “we’re relying on that same Taliban to keep Americans safe,” and “to not start massacring people today.” And he doesn’t see how America will be able to get its allies out of Afghanistan.
Moulton stated, “We went into Afghanistan 20 years ago. Because the Taliban harbored the terrorists that attacked us on 9/11. And now we’re relying on that same Taliban to keep Americans safe, to keep American citizens — they estimate between 10 and 15,000 American citizens are still in that crowd or cowering in their houses in Kabul and surrounding areas right now trying to get into the airport. And that’s not to mention the other 50 or 70,000 allies…who put their lives on the line, put their lives on the line alongside our troops and diplomats, not just for Afghanistan, but for America. We have a moral obligation to get them out, and I still don’t see how we’re going to do that.

It’s the logical thing to do.
The people stuck there are already hostages. They will be used for bargaining with us and other countries. Some will be killed, and the rest exchanged for money and/or transfer of savages to the USA.
This is going to be the biggest hostage payment in history.
Common sense is way above Biden’s pay grade.
The Afghan military was supposed to hold off the Taliban. Biden himself said this collapse and fall of the country to the Taliban happened much more quickly than anyone anticipated.
Please tell me this is not real life...

Maybe selling out his country to easily get elected as a Democrat/communist doesn’t look as good as it did when Moulton agreed to be a military veteran prop for the rodents in Massachusetts.
Biden knows best - he has a “higher paygrade” than you...and he bets he has a much higher IQ than you...that’s what he would say if he responded directly to your post.

I don’t think he meant that as praise of this “policy,” but as expressing astonishment and exasperation at the stupidity.
Even some Dems are angry about this one.
