Texas officials requested five additional mortuary trucks to hold deceased COVID-19 victims, according to a recent NBC News report.
Chris Van Deusen, the spokesperson for the Department of State Health Services, told NBC News that the request for more refrigerated vehicles did not come from a specific town or hospital and was purely precautionary as cases rise in the state.
The report noted that the trucks will be sent by the Federal Emergency Management Agency to San Antonio, where the vehicles can be distributed to areas in need.
Approximately 14,453 people are becoming infected with COVID-19 in Texas every day according to a 7-day average from New York Times' Coronavirus tracker. The COVID-19 caseload is not the only rising statistic in Texas: approximately 160 people died of the virus on Wednesday, a 325% increase in the 14 days prior.
Medical facilities in the state are increasingly jammed and debilitated as more and more coronavirus cases overload the system. Dallas County Judge Clay Jenkins said in a video that hospitals in his area are already lacking enough pediatric ICU beds.

LOL I remember the video of these original refrigerated trucks and then the subsequent debunking of the trucks. Are we sure its not for extra supplies going to the hospitals? I mean its pretty hot in the middle of August in Texas.
The pediatric units are children with RSV not Covid.
Actually, that was not what was seen from space.
What was seen in Wuhan was a significant change is they type of gas emissionsâindicating the chemicals put into their from cremations. In addition, the Chinese admitted to bringing in 40 mobile furnaces to âdestroyâ medical waste.

I have a problem with some of the statements I see from the press. I know some people get really sick. I know people have died. I do not personally know anybody that has died and I only know one person that was in the hospital for 5 days. My sister knows one person that died and he was the one that gave her the virus at work.
Three people in my family have had COVID. They were sick but were still able to function and play on Facebook. My sister said the worst part for her was not being able to smell her coffee and bacon.
They all said they were pretty sick the first 3-4 days, kind of like the flu, but it got better after that.
Something doesn’t add up somewhere.

These aren’t Covid-related refrigerated trucks.
They’re “Welcome Wagons” for our new group of illegal aliens, who, BTW, happen to be Covid positive.
Two weeks ago, for a week, I observed a San Antonio hospital that had a decent amount of empty beds. Staff didnât appear to act with any extra vigilance over germ spread, sometimes it even seemed lax. It didnât seem to be a hospital stressed over deadly COVID burning through the city.
