HUMBLE, Texas (CBSDFW.COM) – A wife shot and killed her estranged husband after he showed up as she and their three children were heading to their first day of school on Monday, August 16, KTRK-TV in Houston reported.
Harris County Sheriff Ed Gonzalez said the woman and the children were leaving when the father arrived unexpectedly and confronted their mother.
“He showed up. We don’t know what his intention was,” said the sheriff. “It quickly escalated. She ran inside the home. He began assaulting her.”
Investigators said the wife grabbed a gun and shot him.
Sheriff Gonzalez said there had been previous domestic violence calls at the home.
KTRK-TV learned the children – ages 8, 12 and 16 – have been in the middle of such incidents before.
“Really a sad situation,” said Gonzalez. “Early in the morning, [it’s] first day of school for many who live out here.”
According to court records, on June 10, their father “woke the three children” so they could see him confront their mother about their “marital problems.”
The charging document says he slapped her twice in the face. The father, whose identification is still pending according to the sheriff’s office, was later charged with misdemeanor assault.
He was out of jail on a $3,000 bond.
KTRK-TV said it also learned deputies responded twice before June 10 to the residence for domestic disturbances.
Once was on May 30 and the second time was just five days later on June 4.
Deputies said the wife is cooperating with them.
The case will be referred to a Harris County grand jury.
The three children, who the sheriff’s office initially said were 7, 11, and 16, are being cared for by relatives.

I would think all articles with investigations going on would have as little information as this one. But obviously the Press is out there gleaning all kinds of info and their attempts to thwart the legal system and screw up the trial process.

Yep. There’s a high-class indoor shooting range near where I live. $50 for a half hour. A loaned pistol and a box of ammo are included in the price.
Last time I was there, there were 8 shooters on the line. 6 of them were women. (Including some cuties. But I digress.)

The coroners inquest should reveal the name of the husband, who took one swing to many.

The 5 W’s and an H are no longer operational in today’s “narrative media.” If a particular favored narrative is not advanced by the story, it gets short shrift. Even worse is a story like this one where a favored narrative on the dangers of keeping a gun in the house is proven to be so much statist BS. Better to keep the whole thing on the “down low.”
Sounds like it could have been him or her, and she chose wisely.
The news is full of stories of estranged dads killing the wife and kids. Or just the wife. Or just the kids. But it’s not that women are never the guilty party.
In this era of sexual entitlement, many people think that the consequences of sex (children) are not something that has to be awaited patiently, planned for or sacrificing hot times for. Men go for the body and women go for the bad boy.
When the pressure builds they fight, because they did not prepare for partnership and parenthood. One or both of them cracks.
Those poor children who witnessed this.

Truer words were never spoken. If the story fits a favored narrative, we’ll get all the details. Nothing will be left out. Otherwise, it’s “someone did something”.

Or she called him, told him to come by for pictures for the first day of school, instigated an incident and murdered him, knowing the slanted justice system will let her slide.
Yeah, I’ve sat on a grand jury. (Yes I am also a citizen of the USA for those wondering.)
