He’s not wrong it is utterly amazing how in just a year we literally went from the closest we’ve been to World Peace in decades to this pile of crap…Joe Biden is becoming a legend for all the wrong reasons
20 years gone in one week. I’ve been saying we should have left after they adapted an explicitly Islamic Constitution. Why were we defending that in the first place? Obviously these people want genuine Islam and not some watered down Western version.
The media lies about President Trump are breathtaking. They are covering for Biden, blaming Trump, saying “Biden’s hands were tied.”

I agree with that sentiment. What I don’t understand is just how the Trump Plan to reduce our presence in Afghanistan would not have resulted.in something like what we are seeing now.
How was the Trump Plan different? Once we are gone who would stop the lying Taliban from overrunning the country regardless of any agreement Trump could have negotiated with them.
There’s no way in hell Trump would have abandoned the Bagram air base before getting all military and civilian personnel out of the country, for one thing. And the airport would have been bombed to dust on the way out if it was overrun with Taliban fighters.
As far as I can tell the agreement struck with the Taleban in Doha some time back was to let foreigners out without shooting them in the back, but Afghan collaborators with the West were abandoned.
The money going to Afghanistan was funneled off and hoarded in the Emirates. The Afghan defense couldn’t touch it.
Much of the equipment left to the defense forces was sold off by regional commanders to the Taleban in return for leniency. Their forces deserted after finding their guns and ammo had been sent to the Taleban.
The Taleban even paid deserters for their kit before letting them go home.
Total balls up by America. A sum of money bigger than Afghanistan’s entire GDP has funded a total handover to the Taleban who are now far better resourced and armed than they were 20 years ago.
They’ve taken the country back in a matter of weeks with almost no opposition, massive collusion, all simply by talking to regional and tribal leaders for the last 2 years instead of talking to the puppet regime in Kabul... which was thrown under the bus in Doha.
And the American intelligence had no idea this was going on? Don’t make me laugh.

Still don’t get it after 4 years? Trump had peace breaking out in the middle east. It wasn’t an accident. Trump’s policies worked because Trump implemented them. There is no one else who would have made these policies successful. Trump’s foreign policy was so successful that the media did everything in their power to avoid talking about it during the election so please don’t be fooled now into believing this was inevitable. Trump had the respect of the Taliban and the will to assasinate any Taliban leader who defied the agreement and everyone knew he wasn’t bluffing. For all the DeSantis supporters this should come as a lesson to you. You can’t have Trump’s policies without Trump.
