Islamabad, Pakistan (CNN)Pakistan's foreign minister has accused India and Afghanistan of backing a suicide bombing which killed nine Chinese workers on July 14, and called for the remaining perpetrators to be handed over to Islamabad for trial.

China is going to have a little problem with the muslim Taliban in regard to China’s treatment of the muslim Uyghurs. The taliban is not going into the farming business or manufacturing, they are going to keep fighting, and with some lately procured military hardware, thanks to Joe Biden.

Bingo! Islam is what the Taliban are fighting and dying for. China is the world’s most obvious enemy of Islam given China’s treatment of its own Moslem population.

Hard to say who I would want to lose. Maybe let the Chinese flounder around for 20 years and have Afganistan win again.

Except for small arms, most of the heavy stuff - tanks, arty etc are being targeted by the USAF and blown up. Troop concentrations are being given the A-10/Ghostrider treatment.

That’s what a competent military would do. Except that they would not have let it get to this in the first place.

I do not believe that Ghani would have relinquished power if he thought that the US military had the political will to support him.

From the day of its creation, no statement the government of Pakistan issued has been believable.

Wait'll China tries doing business in Afghanistan. This will seem like a minor incident.

The ancient Mongols are one of the groups that settled what is now called Afhganistan

That may be a problem. Their army is made up of "only sons," born under the one-child rule. They got beaten badly by India in the Pangong Lake battles of 2020, and the parents of the dead Chinese soldiers are causing a lot of problems for Xi.

Their army is a paper tiger.

Except for one Twitter post from an obscure source, it has not yet been corroborated or verified that Ghani has, at this time, relinquished power.

Never said anything about those characters - just from a US report about what we were doing - I think I saw it on FR.
