Insurgents tightened grip on Afghanistan by capturing Mazar-e-Sharif - a heavily defended city in the north

Fighters were then filmed raiding the luxurious home of infamous warlord Army Marshal Rashid Dostum

In a statement last night, US President Joe Biden blamed Donald Trump and the Afghan army for the carnage

He said he 'will not pass this war onto a fifth president' and criticsed the Afghan Army for failing to fight

Taliban fighters have invaded the palatial home of top Afghan warlord and US ally and videoed themselves lounging on his gold furniture and inspecting his golden tea set - as their advance closes on capital Kabul amid a scramble to get Westerners out.

General Rashid Dostum's home is in the northern city of Mazar-e-Sharif which fell to the Taliban yesterday and now there are claims that the advancing fighters have reached the outskirts of Kabul.

Dostum was a key US ally during the 20 year campaign against the Taliban and famously fought with the Special Forces 'horse soldiers' shortly after 9/11.

...In a statement last night, Biden blamed Donald Trump and the Afghan army for the carnage and said his predecessor cut a deal that left the warlords 'in the strongest position militarily since 2001'.

He said: One more year, or five more years, of US military presence would not have made a difference if the Afghan military cannot or will not hold its own country.

For anybody that remembers the 70’s.

Liberals are back at the helm.

3,000 American dead , 20,000 wounded , 2.5 trillion spent , 90 billion given to the Afghan military only to lose the entire country in less than 600 hours .. Well done General Mark Milley

We need a new class of military 'elites' - this bunch is corrupt and stupid...

Ironically (if that is the right word) The Taliban, in a couple of weeks has gained control of vastly more territory and is a thousand times better armed than they were when we began the 20 year war against them.

What a horrid thought. Instead of destroying the Taliban our idiot politicians and equally inept and corrupt military instead have made them into one of the more powerful fighting units in the world. We’ve certainly left them a ton of military weapons and equipment where they can wreak havoc all over the Middle East.

.

Inflation, weakness, Energy Costs, Spending, Debt, Failing Schools.

This is your Democrat Party.

Idiots on TV defended Biden as Competent in Financial matters and Foreign Policy in the face of his whole career in the worthless Senate.

Neil Cavuto attacked Trump regularly, and misled people on Biden and the disaster from Delaware.

Wonder if dementia in chief and his woke generals have figured out how many troops will be required to evacuate the 5000 he just sent.

We haven’t been told how many out of the 5000 troops are actually in Kabul now or when/where they might be. I suspect they’d be at the airport. I have no idea how easily it can be defended, as opposed to the military airbase we abandoned in the dark of night a week or so ago.

Reports say that civilians are mobbing the airport, quite understandably which makes security all the harder. I realize I’m stating the obvious, but this could turn very ugly, very quickly. But on a happier note, Joe Biden is enjoying some much-needed time off in Camp David. /s

Insurgents - Insurrectionists. Whatever!

Perhaps Nanzi can start another committee investigation.

One Taliban commander in the central province of Ghazni said the government forces' collapse started as soon as U.S. forces started withdrawing "as they didn't have any ideology except fleecing the Americans."

Pssst! In case you haven’t been paying attention Democrats mantra is never take responsibility. If it goes bad, deflect and blame Republicans.

Republican? What a dumb name for the party that is assisting in the destruction of the Republic.

Likely our people in the embassy all voted for Biden and have confidence in his leadership ability.

Slavery as bad is it is/was is only marginally worse that what our elected Representatives have been doing the last 60 years in sending their constituents off to fight in WARS with no plan for victory.

Some things never change throughout history.

Biden is facing a political catastrophe.

It is going to be fun to watch all the ass covering that is about to get underway.
There are a LOT of brass in the Pentagon who are going to have to 'splain how, after 20-years in-country, they did not see this coming and were not prepared for this disaster.
But, they will claim to have purged all "white supremacists" from the military.

He wasn’t asked to win the war, he was asked to not lose the evacuation.

A lot of what we’re seeing has been orchestrated by the Pakistani’s and Chinese. Both should pay a price for their treachery, starting with Pakistan.

Our intelligence community (I know an oxymoron) should be hosed out, and started all over. If we don’t have the balls to put spies on the ground, we have no business being in the spy business. Sure satellites help tremendously, but out perfumed princes, in their complete risk-aversion plumage, have abdicated their leadership positions, and should be dealt with accordingly.

Once the Taliban goat "herders" recognized that all they had to do was wait us out, the end was decided.

I just hope that a few of the so-called "military leaders" end up disgraced and gone.
This incompetent general Mark Milley and second rate political hack, Lloyd Austin should be publicly flogged.
