Pretty simplistic, and I’m sure you know it. Among other things, the Nazis were willing to fight Communism and made damn sure to get the economy working - the part about hating Jews, dehumanizing them, and ultimately wanting then dead, was simply laughable to most Germans (except when it became real and by then it was too late).
The REAL QUESTION is why so many Americans, when hearing leading Democrats saying the same things about Trump supporters, as Nazis said about Jews, simply laugh it off (as Jews and others did back then), rather than listen to what they say...because they are being HONEST, and will do exactly the same...once they’re able to fully lock-down power in this country.

Berlin coppers were suppressing folks protesting against being locked down. Again.
If this happens in the US the US coppers have become Nazi brownshirts. Defund them entirely. Our Const gives us the right, a right, to peaceably assemble. Any copper complying with any order to suppress that has violated his oath.
