Glad for no smoke.

We are getting a little rain off and on...enough that I don’t have to water the lawn.

Good evening, radu...getting any rain?

We’ve been drizzling a lot today, but the gauge is pretty dry. Last night I emptied 6/10ths. We’ll take it!!

Hey there, radu!

Yes, it sort of has. It “only” got up to 95 today but is 84 right now. Tomorrow’s high is supposed to be 88, so that’ll be nice. It should remain in the 80s till next Tuesday or so.

How are things there? Still suffering the sauna? Even our bit of humidity [39%] has become very uncomfortable, so I can only imagine what you are going through. Can’t tell you how ready I am for fall. LOL!

Hey there, Kathy.

There was rain and thunderstorms all around us this evening but we got nary a drop here. At least they dropped the temps and we’ll take what we can get. It was hot, hot, hot today.

It sounds like you were ripped off on rain today too. It came down pretty hard for a little while at the airport.
But you’ve gotten a decent amount the past day or so and that’s good.

We had the same temp today but ours was very unpleasant with the heat index at 104 or so. There was rain all around us this evening, but not here, and that cooled us off at least. It’s 71 at the moment.
Tomorrow is supposed to be hotter than today was and Friday won’t be much better. Ugh! But the temps are supposed to drop into the upper 80s over the weekend and into next week. We like it when the forecast changes in that direction.

If we had 39% humidity, my skin would probably crack. LOL That’s very dry to us.

That’s funny. 39% is rather high for us. There were some days in June when it was murderously hot when it was in the low teens. I keep lots of lotion around.

I’m glad you’ve cooled off to the low 70s. That has to feel good for a change. If only your 80s would come a bit earlier. I guess they’re part of the same weather system we’ll start having tomorrow?

Ours will early in the morning, but I’ll never feel it. LOL! No way I’ll get up that early just to go out and feel cool air. Besides, It would wake up 5 hungry kitties.

Today went relatively well...and I have more sanity this evening than the last few months. LOL!

AND, only 3 corrections came in today and all will be paid on their next check. Hurrah!

Not enough rain to measure, but good for the lawn.

Hope rain finds you.

A very pleasant good Thursday morning and ((HUGS)) to everyone at the Canteen and to all our military at home and abroad. Thanks for your service to our country.

How's everyone doing this morning?

For the desert, I guess it is a bit high. For us, it’s almost arid. Makes my skin hurt to think about it. LOL

It does feel pretty good outside right now, though a little damp. I’d love to sit on the patio for a while to listen to the katydids and crickets but the cotton won’t allow it. There are a gazillion blooms right now and they’re wearing out my sinuses. They’re wearing out poor Bella too.

I guess the start of our cool-down will be the system that’s going to cool you off. Next week, it’s going to be courtesy of TS Fred as it moves up this way. We’re hoping for rain out of the deal because we’re getting dry here.

Wow! Today turned out really good for a change. WOOHOO! ‘Bout time!

The rain that’s fallen up there the past several days has greened things up nicely at Lake Hood. I imagine your lawn looks nice again too. But with rain comes the need for lawn mowing. LOL

We have rain chances every day but it’s the typical summertime pattern - - scattered showers, like today. Maybe one will find us.

Howdy, E.G.C. ((HUGZ))

Are you still under a heat advisory or were you able to take Gizmo out to the lake yesterday for some fun?

Ah, yes. Fred! I hope you get some rain out of it, too. But not the high wind. Of course, you’re probably too far inland for that. I was kind of hoping it would go over Orlando. Steve just NEEDS to have a hurricane. But not a really bad one. I’m bad.

Think I’m going to go soon. See ya tomorrow!...or not, since you have to go to bed early. Have fun this weekend at the museum.

Thankfully no Heat Advisory. We were able to have fun at Wichita Ridge yesterday. We also had supper from Applebee's

I did have to work on one of my computers before going to bed however because it would not come on. It installed this month's updates yesterday. As I was getting it turned off, it crashed and ended up with a screen saying it wouldn't start. I ended up doing advanced diagnostics and imaging. Finally after it kept going round and round on me, I ended up doing "System Restore". It's working now, we'll see what happens today.

They say we should get some rain from Fred but we’ll see how that goes. Those storms can change track at the drop of a hat. It isn’t supposed to be more than a tropical storm so there won’t be much wind by the time it gets up here. We just hope it doesn’t run out of rain.

Yep, I doubt I’ll be around the next couple of nights. I learned the hard way that getting on the computer when I have to get up early the next morning is a mistake. Time slips away too easily. Catch ya this weekend.

Yay for no heat advisory! Looks like Gizmo had a blast making up for lost time.

Bummer about your computer problems but it’s good you were able to get it working again.
