Polling aggregator FiveThirtyEight has been updating the president’s popularity rating based on regular polling.
Mr Biden has seen his approval rating stay lower than that of former president Barack Obama, and well below John F Kennedy and Jimmy Carter at the same point in their terms.
And Americans are concerned about a range of factors, with the coronavirus pandemic, economy and vaccination rates key elements in their confidence in the president.
The USA has seen the biggest jump in inflation in more than a decade, with rates at 5.4 percent over a year.
There has also been a shortage of workers following the pandemic, with available jobs soaring to 10.1 million in June according to Job Openings and Labor Turnover Survey.
This means job openings are currently exceeding the number of Americans looking for work.
Nick Bunker, director of research at the Indeed Hiring Lab told Insider: "Employers' demand for workers is incredibly strong. But at the same time, labour supply is, at least for now, not that abundant.
FiveThirtyEight's poll aggregation took the opinions of 6,607 US adults across five polls conducted between July 31 and August 8.
In the CNBC All-America Economic Survey of 802 American adults, 48 percent approved of the job Biden is doing as president, which was up a point from the first quarter.
However, the President's disapproval rating increased to 45 percent from 41 percent.
When it came to Mr Biden's handling of the ongoing coronavirus pandemic, his approval dropped nine points to 53 percent.
And despite the President promising a "summer of freedom", a YouGov poll found 38 percent of Americans think the pandemic will "get worse" instead...

I can’t help wondering if any of the brain dead morons who actually voted for that senile sack of tyranny are beginning to question their judgment. I will believe to my dying day that the election was stolen, but there were a lot of real people who voted for him.

I think it’s accurate to say that Biden may have won the popular vote by a narrow margin, but he did not fairly win the states he needed for the Electoral College. I believe Trump had a strong win there again as in 2016, with a narrow loss in the Popular vote. It’s hard to overcome the idiots in CA and NY. That’s a lot of votes.
He is a stumbling demented fool, how is that going to inspire anyone? Add to that his inflation, poor handling of covid, the massive illegal infiltration of the border, his reckless spending, the out of control crime in every single city, not good.
