Report: Andrew Cuomo Attempting to Cut Deal to Avoid Impeachment

New York Gov. Andrew Cuomo (D) is reportedly seeking a deal with state lawmakers to avoid being impeached over a bombshell report on myriad sexual harassment allegations.

The report comes one day after Melissa DeRosa, a top aide to Cuomo, announced her resignation. In February, the New York Post reported that DeRosa admitted to lawmakers that her team withheld the number of coronavirus deaths in New York’s nursing homes to protect the Cuomo administration’s from an investigation by then-President Donald Trump’s Department of Justice.

I read one analysis that said while he would likely be impeached, he would likely NOT be convicted. The vote is state Senators (43D/20R) plus 7 judges (all appointed by Cuomo). Clintonesque.

Cuomo is a brutal, corrupt thug. He does not operate in a political vacuum. All those Democratic legislators can virtue signal, pose and make all the right speeches they want until the time comes to cast an actual vote. They know that Cuomo will take them down with him. Cuomo knows who did and got what as well as where the bodies are buried. Cuomo won’t resign and there will be no vote on impeachment. The prosecutors are very political and more cowardly than the legislators.He will finish his term.
