For example. The Spanish flu. They even had it in remote villages. All it takes in for just one person to be in contact with another who has it. He/she brings it back.

Dont mean we purposely go out and look for trouble. IMO. here is how it (covid) should have been addressed. Get outside as much as you can. Stay home if you get a minor infection. Stay back from people in stores. Hospitals need to be closed to visitors, as did Old Folks homes.
If you get a major infection, get to the ER and get TREATMENT..and there is where the mistake is being made. It is treatment, not experimental vaccines that will be successful on this.
If they were REALLY serious about quarantines back then, they would have shut down any cross country transportation-truckers, etc.

Read the order. It has nothing to do with the guard rounding people up but being released to perform or assist in medical procedures.
Somehow I just am not compelled to start stocking the bunker based on that order.

14. Telephone assessments for involuntary commitment cases are permitted. The provisions of Tennessee Code Annotated, Section 33-4-108, are hereby suspended to the extent necessary to allow the issuance ofa certificate ofneed under Tennessee Code Annotated, Section 33-6-404, for the emergency involuntary commitment of a person with a mental illness or serious emotional disturbance based upon a telephone assessment of such person by a mandatory pre-screening agent designated pursuant to Tennessee Code Annotated, Sections 33-6-104 and 33-6- 427, if the following conditions are met:
a. The mandatory pre-screening agent is not reasonably able to conduct an evaluation in-person or via readily available telehealth services; and
b. The mandatory pre-screening agent determines in the agent's professional judgment that conducting the assessment via telephone with the person is clinically appropriate.
Before I say what I am going to say, I want to make it clear that I am not going to ever voluntarily take a vaccination. I had COVID, sailed through it, and have perfect confidence in my own antibodies. There is no question that this is a manufactured crisis, and that the Federal government needs to be resisted on this issue until such time as the “crisis” winds down.
That said, the reaction I am seeing here in this thread to Lee’s order is laughably overblown, and makes us look like idiots. Read the order carefully, instead of taking at face value what some of the hysterics are telling you it says. It is a preventative order to prepare for the worst, and to avoid the complications of dealing with State regulations that would retard an immediate and helpful response. Lee (who I did not vote for in the primary, incidentally) is just doing exactly what a governor should be doing: preparing for the worst. Read the reference to quarantine facilities carefully, and tell me where you see any totalitarian implications to it.
Things are bad enough with what is happening to our country without having to “help truth along” with a reflexive, conspiratorial interpretation of every development that comes along. We have to be more discerning, or we will be the fools who cry “wolf” so often that people will ignore the real one when it comes.
You have never learned how to read legislation or executive orders have you? It is specific. It is limited. It is not for any matter that tickles the governor’s fancy.
Meanwhile, Tennessee recently achieved Constitutional Carry.

Literacy is a skill sorely lacking. That statement applies only to the following,
“for the emergency involuntary commitment of a person with a mental illness or serious emotional disturbance based upon a telephone assessment of such person by a mandatory pre-screening agent designated pursuant to Tennessee Code Annotated, Sections 33-6-104 and 33-6-427, if the following conditions are met:”
That is the only application. This is not about rounding up suspected COVID carriers or any other physical ailment.
What about mental health assessments via the phone for involuntarily comittments?
