Nearly two dozen Texas House Democrats who fled the state last month have sued Gov. Greg Abbott and other Republican officials, alleging that GOP efforts to bring them back to the state Capitol for a special legislative session infringed on their constitutional rights.
The 22 plaintiffs have been "deprived of liberty for substantial periods of time, suffered much anxiety and distress over separation from their families, and much discomfort and embarrassment," the complaint filed late Friday alleges.

Some Austin lefty judge will rule in thier favor sadly and also issue an injuction tying Abbots hands during the multi year appeals process.
These fleebaggers were elected to do a job.

The fleebaggers took one case of Miller Lite and managed to parlay that into six cases of Corona in just a few days.
Get a court order to appear and then arrest them
I think if a judge tried to challenge the governor’s power to call a special session then that could get an expedited review by the Texas Supreme Court.
It should be summarily dismissed...of course “should” and “will” are two different things.
Gov:
Declare their seats vacated, appoint interim successor pending snap elections. Fire their staff, stop their paychecks, impound their office materials, cancel their cell phones and state credit cards, and when they come back, arrest them as fugitives and flight risk, no bail.
That should cover it.
Meanwhile hundreds of patriots falsely accused languish I. Prison as po,itical prisoners, while their constitutional rights are violated and they are physically and mentally abused by the stasi on the left

Reminds me of the article awhile back about some people who got snowed in at a British pub. There was plenty of speculation that the length of time they were trapped there had more to do with when the booze ran out than the amount of time it took the rescuers to dig through the snow.

So when does the court system start allowing criminals to sue the cops for trying to arrest them?
The lawyer who filed this crap should be disbarred.
Oh for crying out loud....anything they might, “feel”, is absolutely their entire fault for the decision they made to skip out. Like kids skipping school is certainly proving to identify their behavior.....truly sad people actually elect these idiots to be representatives in the first place.
