Important questions I don't think the article answered:
- does the Novavax vaccine contain spike proteins?
- does the Novavax vaccine contain anything that might cause my body to fight against itself?
- I'm sure there are others.

Depends on your definition of "traditional"...Novavax isn't an "inactivated virus" type vaccine...those would be the "Sinovac" (China vax) and the India vax.

To your first question...yes, Novavax does contain spike proteins. In fact the only protein it contains is the spike protein. A traditional vaccine made from viruses would also contain the spike protein since the spike is part of the virus. Not sure about your other question.
