You have no need to apologize. Everyone is on edge.

I got kind of excited to see that a more traditional vaccine may be coming, even if it isn’t being pushed as the Next Big Thing. I want this thing to be finished.

With a traditional vaccine it would seem that the worst that could happen is you would get the disease.

With mRNA all sorts of things could happen.

Not make a decision. Consider.

The mRNA Vaccines Are Extraordinary

These aren’t the ADE Vaccines you’re looking for…

Novavax doesn’t appear to be mRNA

yeah, from what I have read the NovaVax is the better “in between” choice between the mRna and the J&J.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
I would group J&J with the mRNA vaccines since these all “trick” your body into producing the virus proteins. It’s just that J&J uses an adenovirus rather than a lipid shell to deliver the instructions into the cell.
Novavax is more like a traditional vaccine in that you’re injecting virus proteins into your body rather than having your body produce them. It’s just that the proteins aren’t pieces of actual viruses but are cultivated from moth cells.
So I would put Novavax in between J&J/Moderna/Pfizer and traditional vaccines but probably closer to traditional.
A “subunit” vaccine takes a piece of pathogen as an antigen to stimulate antibodies.
Your body reacts in a normal way to protect itself from the pathogen.
It uses existing cellular code and makes no changes to the operating system.
Do you have a source or sources? This is the first I’ve really read about Novavax.
That is my problem with the current three. They rely on MRC-5 which contains DNA from an aborted fetus. That is a deal breaker for me.
Does NovaVax use mRNA?
Note: “NoVa” in Spanish means “NoGo”.
So it’s like the small pox or MMR vaccines?
Navavax is not an mRNA substance.
It’s a sub unit vaccine, in a true sense.
It appears it doesn’t use mRNA.
“In this context, the success of the Novavax vaccine should be A1 news. The recent results confirm that it has roughly the same efficacy as the two authorized mRNA vaccines, with the added benefit of being based on an older, more familiar science. The protein-subunit approach used by Novavax was first implemented for the hepatitis B vaccine, which has been used in the U.S. since 1986. The pertussis vaccine, which is required for almost all children in U.S. public schools, is also made this way. Some of those people who have been wary of getting the mRNA vaccines may find Novavax more appealing.
The Novavax vaccine also has a substantially lower rate of side effects than the authorized mRNA vaccines.”
What does Obamacare have to do with NovaVax?
To: alternatives?
Does it contain MRC-5?
I have noticed that these vaccines are tested on ‘humanized’ mice in the trials. A Lifesite news article just published said that aborted baby scalps are utilized to create the humanized mice. So, keep an eye out on that too if you choose to do so.
Absolutely willingto get Novavax. Already talked t my HMO. They will provide it 30 days after it is released so they can see what side-effects are. Meanwhile, my MD doesn’t think I need vax because my immune system is so strong from all the immune boosting supplements I’ve taken for the last 50 years.
Smart doc!!
A bunch of info will pop up if you google “novavax protein subunit”
Here’s the first item in the results which has a pretty good explanation:
