New York (CNN Business)The planned grand reopening of offices across America is in serious doubt because of the Delta variant.
In the past 24 hours, a slew of major companies have told employees they will no longer be expected back at their desks in September. Notably, that list includes BlackRock (BLK), Wells Fargo (CBEAX) and other Wall Street firms that had been eager to turn the page on the era of virtual work. The shift by these business leaders makes perfect sense. Many workers are nervous about returning to crowded offices and subway stations at a time when Covid-19 cases are soaring. But the delayed reopening of offices sends an ominous signal about the state of both the economic recovery and the pandemic.

Their little Sun Valley gathering produced a lot of crap from the sewer.
Best defense against “Delta”?
Earplugs.
I was scheduled to return to office starting in September. That has now been put off until at least January of next year.
We all got the memo about an hour ago. This effing sucks.
The Delta is super minor—if they are shutting down for this, then they could find excuses to shut down forever....
Where exactly does this end? Answer: it doesn't and that's why the progressive/libtard/marxists that run our Government today love it so much.
The disease won’t slow the recovery. It’s the Democrat political reaction to it that will.
I agree it is all part of the plan, but somebody should get the NY Dems to huddle with the DC Dems - they are broadcasting conflicting messages. NY (especially NYC) wants millions of workers back in the offices, while DC wants them secured in concentration camps.
Any Americans who believe they’ll be working in their pajamas for an extended period (or permanently) don’t realize this has allowed companies to outsource work to Asia more quickly and permanently; I suspect that is why NY politicians want to get the workers back ASAP. The taxes harvested from the firms AND workers will be gone forever - and the American population will as well.
This is XiNN.
