(CNN)The surge of Covid-19 fueled by the Delta variant and low vaccination rates is sending the country backward in the pandemic, with hospitalizations reaching wintertime levels.
For the first time since February 27, more than 50,000 Covid-19 patients were hospitalized Monday, according to data from the US Department of Health and Human Services. The 50,625 hospitalizations were more than triple the number from one month ago, when about 16,000 patients were hospitalized. At this point, it might not be possible to reach herd immunity, the director of the National Institutes of Health said. At the current pace of vaccinations, it will take until mid-February to reach all of the remaining eligible people with at least one dose, a CNN analysis of Centers for Disease Control and Prevention data found.

This mild variant is spreading rapidly which leads them to conclude: “At this point, it might not be possible to reach herd immunity”.
Are these people stupid?
“KN95” means N95 equivalent, made in China.
“Give them to children” does not equal force children to put them on.
Free condoms is not equal to free sex.
Every story has been massive Chicken Little declarations. There’s no mention of total number of deaths, just that they’re seeing an uptick in cases. It’s some of the most disingenuous reporting I think I’ve ever seen. Omission of facts is ethically corrupt in the context of these discussions.
CNN is absolutely ecstatic over a red state going full mandate crazy.
Love those restrictive mandates, to keep the proletariat in chains.
DELTA is a 60 day wonder. First month cases skyrocket. Second month cases plummet.
60 days later, it’s back to the original infection rate.
Never forget.
And what could possibly go wrong with that?
I believe all these stories with numbers of hospitalization are all fake. I’m starting to believe that covid stories are procedurally generated.
Certainly what the UK is seeing. And very few deaths relative to the case counts from last Winter.
Except there is no mandate, let alone “mandate crazy”. Free masks is not compulsory masks.

Is this the Delta variant, the Delta Plus variant, or the teenage mutant ninja variant?
The mask accomplishes one purpose. It dehumanizes people. Makes it easier to load them onto the cattle cars or mow them down into ditches.
