That’s actually incorrect. DC is actually Shall issue on CCW permits. Even non-residents can get them.

It is true that they make you jump through red tape, but it isn’t insurmountable like in New Jersey, Maryland, New York or much of Kalifornia.

When I was growing up in the area many years ago, the buses when through a tunnel in one side of the building, dropped off riders, and exited out another side. I don't know what it is like now.
