Don’t forget that the US Supreme Court ruled many years ago that Criminals that are Prohibited from owning guns can NOT be held liable to GUN CONTROL LAWS because they are already Prohibited People.

It’s a misdemeanor in Washington state to sell a firearm without going through an FFL license holder, and that includes the federal background check. I don’t think anyone has been charged yet under the law.

That closes a loophole.....right.

Now the best way to get a gun for some is to use a gun. It cut’s out that annoying paying for it thing.

And criminals all over Illinois said “oh crap, now we’ll have to figure out another way to get the weapons we plan to use in crimes.”

So, you go to a dealer, get your background checked and take the results to the private seller. Easy-peasy.

Yes, law abiding people are fully aware of the process and will comply. The law was created to curb violence but will have almost no intended results. Criminals will ignore and thus the state will have to create another new stronger super super law to try again to get the results wanted.
But no way will they do what they did to a motorcycle club in Indy a few years back. Where they arrested every person known to associate with the club. Yet they won’t do this to a gang in Chicago for reasons we all know why.

The law is very enforceable. This is going to shut down the gunfire on the South Side.

So you make a painting using a soda straw and sell it for a few hundred bucks. And give the purchaser your gun when he asks what you’re going to do with that old weapon.
