The New Normal in the Permanent Emergency
American Thinker. com ^ | August 3, 2021 | Jon N. Hall

Just when the authorities allow us to take off our masks, they demand that we put them back on. Americans might reasonably wonder if there will ever be a return to “normal.” But obey we must, lest we be in gross violation of the mandates created for us by our betters, who know, better than we do, what’s best for us.

From the onset of the lockdowns, one of their loudest critics has been Fox News host Laura Ingraham. Miss Laura has repeatedly expressed her disdain for the term the “new normal.” Even so, the regular old “old normal” had its problems, one of which was how we handled “congregant settings.” We weren’t very prudent about how we mingled, massed, rubbed shoulders, and got together, i.e. congregated.

Efforts to practice “social distancing” in packed congregant settings are sorely tested in many of the activities that we Americans take for granted, such as attending sports events, movies, concerts, bars, restaurants, demonstrations, insurrections, riots, and so on. People like to cram themselves into arenas and work themselves up into an ecstatic quasi-religious frenzy when their tribe’s team carries a ball across a goal line. And all the while they’re breathing on each other, and spraying spittle. Young people, especially, have a need to be with each other, and in cramped quarters, as when they queue up to get into exclusive nightclubs, like Studio 54 back in the old days. How many cases of the coronavirus have been passed to the immuno-compromised by young people who’ve attended all-night raves or today’s equivalent of Studio 54?

History will not be kind to this era in human history. It’s both fascinating and frustrating to be a part of it. For my little bubble, it’s business as usual, and I’m thankful for a measured governor like De Santis. However, I don’t believe the honeymoon will last, and in next year’s midterms, I suspect the Democrat election fraud machine will be turned up to 11. They can’t risk losing power again, and I don’t honestly believe they care to hide what they’re doing any further.

History will not be kind to this era

I'm of the opinion that factual history will cease to exist completely and permanently. We've ceded too much to the mongrels that now control Western Civilization and will never recover.

There is a new era emerging in which the rulers are totalitarian and merciless.

I agree with that.

A lot of people are still stuck in a Normalcy Bias phase. They think this year is like any year. A little virus. A little arguing about the election. Just, you know, normal stuff.

But I think we’re at a point which is as big as the fall of the Roman Empire. It will take a long time to fully play out, but I think civilization is taking a devastating hit and will not recover for generations.

The Silicon Valley vampires are 10 steps ahead of the Republicans in regard to vote manipulation.

It’s normal for the ocean to have waves and it’s normal for societies to have waves.

10 steps ahead of the Republicans..

I have a tree stump in my backyard that is intellectually 10 steps ahead of Republicans. I've never seen such an incompetent, feckless, useless conglomeration of miserable people as the GOP.

I voted for POTUS Trump the last two elections. I specifically did not vote straight Repugnant as I do not support any career politicians. Nor will I ever. And if Trump does not run again, I've voted in my last election.

We grew up with George setting the undercurrent of cultural analysis — the sub-text. What a protection that was for us.

Our kids didn’t have that as he had gone out of fashion.

Slap a 2084 title on it and it will go back in fashion.

Without emergencies there’s no reason for Democrats to exist politically.

They’re definitely going to pull out all the stops to get rid of DeSantis. That’s what the hysterical, inflated, panic-producing “Covid” statistics out of Florida are all about. What I think of as “big medicine” - the hospitals and other health care providers, particularly those connected with municipal governments - hate him because he has demanded accountability from them and is not just writing checks or letting them steal at will from the state treasury.

And then there’s the unions…

That said, it’s horrifying on a national scale to see how few of our elected leaders are standing up for normal American human society. Even those we thought were better than that are turning tail and running and handing us over to the trannies, racists and technocrats who want to completely destroy our society and even erase the very awareness that it ever existed.

You and I are in the same boat. Honestly even if Trump runs again I think they have this absentee voter fraud perfected and there is no way he will win. Way too many white folks don’t go into the hoods of urban areas to see whats going on.
