Louisiana Gov. John Bel Edwards (D) reinstated a statewide mask mandate for everyone 5 years old and up as the Pelican State has hit the most cases per capita in the U.S.
The governor announced the mask requirement over Twitter, citing surging COVID-19 cases and hospitalizations, which he said are “threatening the ability of hospitals to deliver care.”
The mandate will go until at least Sept. 1, but Edwards said it could be extended if needed.

Every governor that imposed these tyrannical lockdowns needs a heaping helping of boot-salad at the ballot box. Not a single one should ever be elected the public office again.

Just Saturday I saw that it was Alabama that held the title.
Saw news story on FR that Florida had the most cases per capita.
You want to make sure you have your mask on when you’re shot, or are shooting people in The French Quarter.
In places like Louisiana it’s hard. The ballots from the heavy Democrat areas come in last because they have to see what the rest of the state is doing to figure out how many ballots they have to stuff so Edwards can pull off another victory. Did the same in Kentucky, North Carolina and other states where they have Dem Governors but EVERYTHING else is Republican.
Have you ever seen the breakdown of Republicans to Democrats in Kentucky. It’s not even close and yet the state somehow elected a Democrat to the Governor’s office. Amazing.
I guess the stupid surrender monkeys leading the GOP need to start playing the same game. Just sit and wait for the Democrats.

2 hours later, after New Orleans and Baton Rouge put the Democrat over the top by a few thousand..
“Hold up, we just found about 10 ballot boxes in a back room that we didn’t know were there. Give us a little bit to tally up the ballots.”
2 hours later.
“Hey, all done. 105% of the ballots went to the Republican guy. He won by 4000 votes overall. Sorry about misplacing those ballot boxes. Won’t happen again.”
