Homeland Security Secretary Alejandro Mayorkas said Monday on MSNBC’s “Andrea Mitchell Reports” that “domestic violence extremism is the greatest terrorist-related threat we face on the homeland.”
Mitchell asked, “As a result of the January 6 attack, are you doing enough to identify extremists domestically?”
Mayorkas said, “We are very focused on this. This is one of our highest priorities. Domestic violence extremism is the greatest terrorist-related threat we face on the homeland. We have created the Center for Prevention Programs and Partnership in the Department. We have a task force dedicated to this effort. We’ve dedicated more than $77 million in grant funding to state, local, tribal, territorial authorities. We are doing so much to address this really grave threat.”
Mitchell said, “What are you doing to identify terrorists or extremists, extremist groups within the military, within the ranks of DHS as well, other government branches?”
Mayorkas said, “Well, Secretary Austin, the Secretary of the Department of Defense, is conducting an internal review within his department, and we are doing the same within our department. We are very focused on ensuring that our personnel uphold our values and represent the best of our nation. It’s our responsibility.”

My fam was down in the FL Keys for July from Atlanta. I invited my 80 year old dad (Ft. Lauderdale) down for 5 days last week to fish.
He got on the whole Jan 6 thing. I don’t know where he gets his info, but he told me that Trump tried to overthrow the USA gov’t. He said that Trump supporters stormed the capital with weapons.
So I asked him to take his time on my computer, and find me the name of one person arrested on weapons charges, or on charges of assault with a weapon. Of course none.
But — here is where it got interesting. I tried comparing the Jan 6 stuff with the violence last summer where they surrounded the White House and burned the cathedral.
1) He didn’t believe that happened.
2) He said if it did happen, it was Proud Boys infiltrating the peaceful protests to make them look bad.
Aha! Well Dad, isn’t it possible the Jan 6 riots were infiltrated by Antifa too? Nope.
My son and I were astounded by the selective reasoning. I’ve always known he was a devout socialist/leftist, but the lack of fair thinking was disgusting.
“Domestic violence extremism” describes the government.
Importing/distributing covid infected illegal aliens...
Threatening the citizenry on various fronts...
Protecting/encouraging violent lefty behavior...

I guess the Marxist violence we saw all last summer wasn’t regarded as a threat, but as part of a team effort along with the Democrats, FBI, DOJ, and media.

The collection of sociopaths at the key posts in this admin is nothing short of remarkable. This guy is among the standouts. We’re poking at 3x last years Fentanyl OD deaths, 30-75% crime and murder increases in many cities, and an explosion of CV-19/delta at least partially brought in by illegals and all he can do it to repeat the party line. Pathetic and ruinous.
Well, he’s not wrong if we call BLM, Antifa, and their backers “Domestic Terrorists.’
But, somehow, I don’t think that is what he means.

There's more than one way to depopulate. Governments do so on pretext, often. It's normal human condition.
Just saying, I don't assume there is any desire on th epart of the government for things to "go over well." If they don't hear chatter, they will invent it.
Was just looking at what’s happening in Australia, and it occurred to me: they get their way either way. They either pin down resistors, arrest them, “jab” them, and now they lose all their liberties anyway, OR they draw their weapons and open fire because the resistors are armed and aren’t going out that way.
Maybe they’ll think twice about volunteering to be part of the SS. Just following orders, right?
