Tax-Funded Research: Britons Could Live off Bug Meat by 2030 Because ‘Net Zero’

Burgers made of bugs will replace beef in the British diet within a decade in order to hit the green agenda ‘net zero’ government targets, a Great Reset-style taxpayer-funded review has predicted.

The UK Research and Innovation Council (UKRI) said that meat substitutes made from insects, such as mealworms and crickets, are more environmentally friendly as they require less space and feed compared to traditional bovine burgers.

“Although methane inhibitors in feed could reduce emissions by around 30 per cent, meat is still one of the highest-impact foods,” the UKRI said per The Sun.

The public body, which is funded by the Department for Business, Energy and Industrial Strategy (BEIS), also suggested that Britons could swap their beloved fish with lab-grown seafood-esque products in order to combat over-fishing.

The UKRI went on to say that fried eggs may become a thing of the past as well, claiming that eating two fried eggs per day will equate to the same amount of energy used to heat the average home per month.

A preposterous lie.

Wait'll they figure out how many bugs it takes to make an "Impossible" burger and then the processing costs to make it.

Cows will seem cheap by comparison.

It’s now apparent they don’t even CARE if anyone believes them or not.

Well I eat them over easy so I’m probably using less power than their calculations.

I’m the only one here who eats eggs though they do get used in a few recipes as well. Our egg supply comes from one hen who I don’t even feed. She’s literally zero input at this point.

Exactly how will they raise enough bugs to feed people? With cattle, you need fence around a pasture. Kinda hard to fence in bugs. That means a building and bringing food to the bugs.

These people are insane.

I’m fine with doing away with feed lots for cattle. That’s where more than half the input comes in. Gotta harvest and process all that grain they’re fed. Manufacture the antibiotics and hormones they pump them full of. Gather and transport all that manure they make while standing in one spot.

Grass fed beef tastes a lot better and has a fraction of the overall input.

The Lear jet leftists expect to form the core of the global Inner Party. There they will continue to enjoy the finest foods and most advanced gadgets the world has to offer. While deciding your fate for you.

If you work very hard and show them your unwavering loyalty you may be permitted to join the global Outer Party. You will be allowed occasional servings of meat. And air conditioning on a rationed basis.

The rest of us will eat insects and swelter. For the good of the planet.

The UK Research and Innovation Council (UKRI) needs to be locked in cells and fed only bugs.

Two large eggs yield around 150 calories. It takes an average of 867 KWH per month to heat an average house (in North America). A Kilowatt hour is 860,000 calories. 5733 eggs. So yes, in fact you could heat an average home for a month by eating 2 eggs per day. For fifteen years.

What you do the other 14 years, 11 months is burn coal.

This is because the insanely radical left WANTS all Brits/Americans/civilized people to eat bugs and to stop eating meat. They will attempt to force this to happen in one way or another.
