Diversity is not the end point, but the starting line.
That’s what Sekile Nzinga believes.
Nearly three and a half months after joining Gov. J.B. Pritzker’s administration, Nzinga will get to put that theory into practice as head of a new office of equity that the governor plans to create Friday through an executive order.
“I think diversity is our basement, it’s our sub-basement,” Nzinga told the Chicago Sun-Times. “Yes, every place in our world is diverse, and so why wouldn’t our agencies be diverse? So that’s the basement — that’s the minimum standard.”
The finish line is equity.
Named the chief diversity officer in April, Nzinga said she changed her title to chief equity officer because her goal is “to get to equity, to move us off the sub-basement, but recognizing that the sub-basement is where we start.”

I so glad she distills reality into such tiny elementary metaphors. It’s much easier to understand that way.
One simple reform: the pay and benefits of government employees, as a group, cannot average more than the pay and benefits of people in the private sector. They work for us. We don’t work for them. The political/government class should not exist as a privileged elite in a sheltered bubble.

So as a State employee, she can just change her own job title? Can she change her salary too? Illinois residents: get the hell out now while you still have anything at all.

Diversity is defined as the practice or quality of including or involving people from a range of different social and ethnic backgrounds and of different genders, sexual orientations, etc.
Equity is the quality of being fair and impartial.
These societal theologies we are trying to force down each others throats are not compatible using the current combative cultural and sexual recognition execution and considering it lawless and error free. That has been proven with our current status country wide and for a couple of hundred years. So we should start all over again with the same failed process?
As long as recognition of differences is the acceptable theology (standard), we cannot achieve equity. You cannot in a society this big, compare the so different conditions from each other, there will always be a never ending supply and utilization by those that are going to keep it alive for their agenda. And the wound festers and kills the patient.
We have to stop defending the groups and start joining them with an ability to be concerned and not separated. We can’t have equal but separated. Maybe we can have together and equal. But first we have to recognize our selfsameness. And build from that. Not our differences and never get off of them.

Yes, every place in our world is diverse
That is a boldfaced lie. Most of the world is homogeneous and place restrictions on foreigners. Try to buy land in Africa, or China. Or vote. Or live in peace. Same in most of asia. Same in Europe. Same in central and south America. America is one of the very few places were immigrants can own land free and clear and are not labeled ‘foreigner’ or ‘the American’ until the day they die.
Just what every American wants:
A person who was GIVEN ‘Equity’ grades doing brain surgery on your grandkid.
Or the kid given “Equity” grades flying your next flight to a reunion.
Or doing the calculations for that next big bridge project.
Diversity was letting the crooks in the door. Equity is the actual robbery.
Will the “office of equity” move for equal outcomes in the NBA, the NFL, college football, and college basketball? OF COURSE NOT!!! That would be RACIST!!! And it WOULD!
