The delta variant of the coronavirus is here. It’s scary. It seems to spread more easily than any of the variants we’ve seen so far. It’s quickly becoming the dominant strain of the virus, outcompeting other strains. But it may not be the last.
Watching the news about delta, I keep wondering: What’s next? How might SARS-CoV-2, the coronavirus that causes Covid-19, continue to evolve? After all, the work of evolution is never over. Change is constant.
A year from now, might there be an omega variant that’s twice as transmissible as delta? “The big answer to your question is that we don’t really know,” Kari Debbink, a virologist who studies viral evolution at Bowie State University, says.
She’s not the only one. I asked several virologists and infectious disease experts how Covid-19 will continue to evolve, and they all told me there’s no way of knowing for sure.
“I think anyone who gives you a definitive answer is probably full of it,” says Adam Lauring, a physician and virologist at the University of Michigan Medical School.

What the “$cienti$t$” do know is that we must always wear masks, always lock down, always socially isolate, and give up our money and freedom to learned bureaucrats.
We never had to stop the world for a virus before.
It’s almost as if the Interwebs has enabled a level of tyranny that tyrants of the past could never even have dreamed of.
Harry Browne used to say, “The government is good at one thing. It knows how to break your legs, and then hand you a crutch and say, ‘See if it weren’t for the government, you wouldn’t be able to walk.’”
That statement was intended to be an allegory. However, this time around government has engineered a chimeric coronavirus via gain-of-function, infected the planet, and now offers its gene-therapy vaccines.
Problem is that, unlike the crutch in Harry Browne’s allegory, it’s being to appear that the vaccines don’t even work.
It will be here as long as it is useful. Then it will disappear like the Swine Flu that was supposed to kill us all in 2009.
Ask any veterinarian about their experience with Coronaviruses and they will tell you, the virus mutates with regularity and vaccines will become ineffective within a couple of years. The veterinary community has been dealing with the Coronaviruses for over forty years with conventional and unconventional methods only to be thwarted by mutations. The human side had to recruit veterinary virologists when SARS erupted in 2004 because of their inexperience with the virus. Since the CDC was more involved with transgenders, LGBT, and gun control, they still are behind the curve in dealing with this problem.
If China Virus is in fact a virus then as all viruses usually do it will mutate into something less deadly and more contagious. A Virus which kills it’s host is a failure. Job 1 of any living organism is survival and replication and in the case of a virus that happens when the host spreads the virus. This cannot happen when the host dies.
Mutations always happen as a way for the virus to endure and they do this by infecting at a higher rate and killing at a lower rate.
But from what I understand this particular “virus” may not be a virus at all. At least from what I have read it is not yet been isolated. I have no idea if this nis true or not and I am not a Virologist or an MD of any kind
The only thing I am certain of is not taking the vaccine. I have come to this position after reading the amazing contradictions and flip flops from those supposedly expert about these things.
