Another example of poor reporting. What was the size of the population vax’d and unvax’d, how many tested positive, how many had symptoms, how many hospitalized? I recognize the main purpose of the article is to scare us about vaccine effectiveness. It makes a difference in the scare factor if we are taking about 100 out of 500 versus 4 out of 500 being really sick.

The main stream media and the CDC would rather not get into the specifics of the outbreak in Providence MA.

Here is the CDC study which has the details the media does not want to report, except for a few more facts that are relevant.

First, the outbreak happened in Provincetown, Massachusetts. Provincetown is a very popular beach town that many men visit to socialize with other men with similar interests. That is probably one reason that 85% of the cases were males, and that they had a median age of only 40 years. 74% of these cases occurred in vaccinated people.

There are few hospitalized patients, apparently the vaccine did a good job of reducing the severity of cases.

You are correct that the situation in Provincetown may reflect some particular localized factors.

Ahhhhh, makes perfect sense. When I read stories like the one posted, I always look for what they are not telling me vs. what they are. Usually, what they are not telling me is what will mitigate the political narrative they are trying to tell.

So it seems outbreak occurred where there is potentially lots of promiscuity between and among men. So not a study and not data that is representative of the rest of even MA, much less the USA.

So more so an article that pushing the Dems political narrative.

5 were hospitalized, 4 of them vaccinated, zero deaths.

It is junk stories like this that builds resistance to getting vaccinated. Lousy journalists like this keep spreading this unproven trash and then write articles about those afraid to get vaccinated. They have no shame.
