They have been setting up the concept of allowing non-citizens to vote.

During many POTUS election years, we see stories about who the “world” would vote for, if allowed.

Additionally, they floated the idea of allowing Schwartzenegger to run for POTUS despite his being born in Austria as a means of getting GOP support for eliminating the requirements for natural born citizens to run for office and for non-citizens to vote for office.

Several cities have already opened non-federal elections to non-citizens. This is a growing trend that the left will keep pushing.

Well, I am not sure about property owners, but people on welfare should NOT have the right to vote. When you are a productive member of society, sure, you can get it back. On the dole? Why should YOU have a say in how the tax dollars are divvied up?

So who is Atossa Araxia Abrahamian and why hide her name?

Senior editor at The Nation. Born in Canada and grew up in Brooklyn. Iranian in origin and has no appreciation for growing up in places that won’t force a hijab onto her head. Always has her mouth closed when being photographed, so maybe her teeth aren’t too nice . . . ?

“Eventually it just be a competition to see which side can outdo the other in a ballot box stuffing contest”

It’s clear from the reaction of the RINOs, the Maricopa County Board of Supervisors, the various state senates in the “battleground” states and the apparently indifferent Senate Republicans that this is already the case.

They just don’t understand why we’re all upset. They know that it’s been a game of Who Got Caught for going on 60 years now, ever since John Kennedy got in with help from Daley and Wright.

The strongest case for noncitizen voting today is representation: The more voters show up to the polls, the more accurately elections reflect peoples’ desires. …
Not the purpose of elections, Atossa. That’s tyranny of the mob right there.

“...Nearly 15 million people living legally in the United States...”

It’s more like 70 million now.

Why limit the vote to just citizens? Why don’t we allow it for all who live here? In fact, why don’t we allow everyone on the planet to vote in USA elections.

This is what they really want to say.

If US citizenship isn’t required for vote....then living here would be the next thing to go.....let’s just let the entire world vote in our elections.

There is one great reason to be a citizen to vote:

It’s called, “Integrity”.

A subject of another nation would have a conflict of interest between what is best for the U.S. and what is best for his/her/its native country.

Eh. What does it matter? We have reached this point:

“When the people find that they can vote themselves money that will herald the end of the republic.”

“Atossa Araxia Abrahamian” Sounds Armenian to me. There are many fine Armenians. This one, meh. Anyway atossa, if you had a brain, what would you do with it?

We do have a Constitution which calls for citizen voting.

"I’ve lived in New York since 2004, but haven’t once had a chance to cast a ballot here. "

Perhaps the entire nation should be allowed to vote for New York government (/sarc)

Let’s have a look at how our neighbor to the south, Mexico, handles the problem. Want to move there? Easy enough, you have to get the government’s permission to live there. You will have to register your address with the local police.

You can’t legally work without extra permission and you cannot have a job that could be filled by a Mexican citizen.

At least twice a year, you must leave the country and re-enter. Your permission to stay for another 6 months can be revoked by the government.

You cannot participate in any way in Mexican politics. This includes political marches, etc. Voting is right out! Violation will get you expelled at the very least.

You can only vote if you are a citizen. Want to become one? No problemo. A special bill has to be passed by the Mexican Congress for you to qualify.

This is in contrast to Mexico’s neighbor to the north, where to live here you just have to show up. The government will ask you nicely to promise to appear at judicial meeting in a half year or so and then put you on a bus or military aircraft to transport you to the middle of the nation.

Several states will offer free health care, free education, etc. etc. You can’t legally vote, but no one seems to care if you do, the VP may invite you to a meeting where you won’t be arrested and sent home, and you can participate in all the demonstrations you want.

The answer is simple: outdo the Democrat cheating on such a massive scale that they cry out to heaven for real voter ID and hand counting all ballots.

The same people telling us that nobody cheats and that minorities should be able to cast several ballots even because there were injustices in the past.

But for me and my fellow noncitizens, it is a fact of political life that we submit to unquestioningly year after year, primary after primary, presidential election after presidential election.

What BS ! So why hasn't the author done anything like apply for citizenship?? Until that happens STFU!
