Just 13 percent of the roughly 50,000 illegal immigrants released in the US without a court date — and ordered to report to Immigration and Customs Enforcement — have bothered to show up, a new report said.
The illegal immigrants were given a list of addresses and contacts for ICE offices across the country and directed to report to one of them in the expectation that they would appear after reaching their destination to seek work permits, Axios reported on Tuesday.
Just 6,700 migrants who arrived in the US between mid-March and mid-July showed up at ICE offices as of Monday, the report said, citing data from the Department of Homeland Security.
And 16,000 who have not appeared are beyond the 60-day reporting period they were given when apprehended.
About 27,000 migrants who crossed the border and were released during the same time period have also not shown up, but are still within the 60-day window.
“While individuals have 60 days to check in with ICE, many are proactively reaching out to ICE to begin their official immigration processing, including by receiving a Notice to Appear,” DHS spokesperson Meira Bernstein told Axios. “Those who do not report, like anyone who is in our country without legal status, are subject to removal by ICE.”
The numbers were revealed as migrants continue to be released at the border by the Biden administration and flood into the country.

These are the illegals that turned themselves in or apprehended. How about the Illegals that came in un-noticed probably doubled that or more Lord only knows?

Imagine if only 13% of bail recipients showed up? All would be denied everyone then, but by golly we’ll just keep releasing criminal illegals who have no regard for our laws into the streets and politely asking them to return for court

If they really want to find them, just ask Catholic Charities and Lutheran Services.
The church organizations are receiving millions from the federal government to resettle these folks all over America.

Here in ‘occupied Alberta’, we are being swamped by all kinds of ‘legal’ aliens. We don’t get a huge number of Hispanics, instead we get plenty of uneducated, unskilled and unmotivated people from Africa, the Middle East and Asia, many of whom are lured to immigrate by being offered free health and dental care, child care, free education and job training, subsidized housing and $40K IN YEAR ONE, followed by a substantial welfare system thereafter, if they choose not to work. For so many of these types, coming to Canada, is akin to winning the lottery!
You can’t speak English? No problem, go to the front of the line! You have health issues, or cannot work due to age, infirmity, or lack of motivation? Front of the line for you!
If you are educated, motivated to work and BE A CANADIAN, rather than just make money, only to RETIRE BACK HOME, you’ll not get in. i realized is was sarcastic post- i was just showing that most will be criminals who impact other people’s lives as our gov doesn’t bother to go find them when they fail to show up for court-
AFAIK, the 'illegal' entry point on the Quebec/NY border (aka Roxham Road) still going strong. Even when the CCP-Coronavirus Condemic was ginned up and all border points were closed, the illegal entry point was still in operation, welcoming thousands of (mostly) African illegal immigrants into Kanadahar. With the easing of restrictions, it should now be doing booming business! The RCMP (Royal Canadian Mounted Police PORTERS are still there to carry these illegal immigrants' luggage into Kanadahar.
