Should have spent that casino money on a PR campaign to keep the name.
Who’s watching whatever the name?
The blacks loved Amos’n’Andy, too, but the liberals got it banned from TV. I don’t know what we’d do without those racist democrats.
She’s right. They are sell-outs.
When you figure out to whom, let me know.
Those tribes that are upset over the change should all come to one of the big games and stage a protest complete with war dances and chanting.
White Leftists are cleansing honorific Indian references from the American culture.
There have never been “indians” in America. The term was adopted as designating the indigenous tribes found on this continent because the original explorers thought they had sailed to India.
Same old story: Remove the Indian, keep the land!
“An Indain’s Take on the Cleveland Baseball Team”
Thanks for the Indain position, any word on the what the Indians think?
Now no one will know the stories of why these names were honored, and who the real people were behind them.
Marxists can claim another victory in their efforts to destroy our nation's history. 😞
I grew up an Indians’ fan, since 1975. Lotta lean years there, but it gave me character.
As an adult, I’ve seen pretty much everything I’ve cared about and held up as a unifying symbol ripped down.
Before too long, they’ll re-name my “Phightin’ Phillies” becuase “Phillies” is named after a cigar.
The hell with this world. I can’t in good faith do anything to extend my natural life to hold off the Great Reward of the Afterlife.
why not call them the Cleveland goofballs?? thy still are better than the rangers...

I can remember my brother had a pennant from when the Indians won the series. That was back in the early 40’s. Everyone was so proud of them.
“The rain Indain stays on the Cleveland plains!”
I have a tribal membership card. The name Versions bothered me. But, neither Indians or Braves do.
Being part Indian I feel the same way They are honoring the great warriors who lived in America before it was America.
[[The owners will now call the team the Cleveland Guardians, ]]
They never even bothered to see if guardians everywhere were a-ok with the team culturally appropriating their title
I’d have renamed the team:
The Cleveland Scalpers.
Pays tribute to the old culture of native Americans and the new culture of making a quick buck (Oops, can I say that???) on game day
I’m Cherokee. But I’m NOT “on the role”, therefore NOT a member of the tribe. Because of the “Dawes Act”. Anyway... This reminds me of a trick my sister pulled many years ago... She was working at some place, I think it was called “venture”. She stole a record, YEAH back in the days when the had records(before 8-track, cassette, CD, DVD...) from the store she worked for, came home and told me that she did it for me. It was a lie of course, I never gave a crap about that record. She wanted the record, stole it and made up an excuse for doing so. This recent crap about sports names are the same damned thing! These people doing these things don’t give a flying crap about us, it’s JUST an excuse to do what they want!
