The CDC in a 'Lab Alert' has admitted that the FDA has dumped all over its junk PCR test because it gives false positives for COVID-19 when the patients actually have been infected the flu influenza viruses.

"In preparation for this change, CDC recommends clinical laboratories and testing sites that have been using the CDC 2019-nCoV RT-PCR assay select and begin their transition to another FDA-authorized COVID-19 test. CDC encourages laboratories to consider adoption of a multiplexed method that can facilitate detection and differentiation of SARS-CoV-2 and influenza viruses."

20-25% more 65+ year olds died last year of all causes than in a typical year. About 20% of those were the official Covid count, which undoubtedly had some rare errors in it. In fact, since the number is 25% excess deaths, there was likely undercounting of Covid deaths.

And no, don’t stand up and wave your hands about flu deaths disappearing. They would be in the typical year numbers. We still were 25% higher last year.

BTW if anyone actually reads the article they will see it says nothing about trashing anything, and it is a non urgent thing. It is a notification to labs that they should transition to one of the many other FDA Covid tests rather than the RT PCR, and there’s no need to do it until Dec 31, 2021, which is when CDC will end the EU authorization for RT-PCR.

The FDA’s molecular assay method also uses a nasal swab.

Most of the elderly had multiple(obesity, diabetes mellitus, alcohol abuse liver/organ damage, kidney damage, lung damage, substance abuse) co-morbidities! And early treatments were withheld!

They will say the number of actual COVID infections was far less, but the number of COVID related deaths was the same. Therefore, COVID is actually more lethal than we thought.

How do you know that your 6 dead friends died of COVID, the PCR test from the CDC? You were "told by others" what they supposedly died of and it is almost a certainty that they used the CDC PCR test that the FDA said was crap.

I know it is hard for a mark to admit that he has been conned but get over it and stop drinking the Kool-Aid.

You say that these are “new” tests but they are not the one that are mostly used. In the CDC lab alert from my post says that the CDC test can be used until December 31, 2021 which is 5 months from now.

The CDC is withdrawing an old, single-purpose RT-PCR test for Covid. The test was developed very early on and was only used to test for Covid. It never mistook the influenza virus for SARS CoV-2.

The CDC is retiring the test because there are many other FDA-approved options now available that can identify multiple virus, like coronavirus and influenza, from one sample.
