The FBI is made of snitches, often trapping Americans into committing crimes

Leading up to the events of 9/11, there was probably no federal agency with a higher public stature than the FBI:...

But today, after two decades of failure, embarrassment, mendacity, favoritism, political partisanship, incompetent leadership and exasperating sanctimony about a “higher loyalty,” the Bureau’s moral reputation lies in tatters.

Whether it was former Director James Comey sanctimoniously dithering in public over Hillary Clinton’s emails in 2016, to former Deputy Director Andrew McCabe’s misleading of investigators about his role in leaking confidential memos to the news media, to the illicit lovebirds Peter Strzok and Lisa Page cooing about an “insurance policy” against a Trump victory that year, the FBI has destroyed its squeaky-clean public image.

But wait — there’s worse. It’s become an organization of snitches and spies.. would-be terrorist plots thwarted by the FBI — only to find that the vast majority of them were facilitated by agents and informers posing as terrorists themselves.

...

Consider the Gretchen Whitmer “kidnapping” plot. Conveniently timed to break just a month before the 2020 election

...

Problem was, the Gang that Couldn’t Scheme Straight was heavily infiltrated, if not actually entrapped, by a dozen or so undercover informants, to the extent that the G-men became more provocateurs than agents.

...

The farce peaked last week when one of the lead FBI agents on the case, Richard Trask, was arrested and charged with smashing his wife’s head against a nightstand and choking her after a swingers’ party they had both attended.

...

A politicized Bureau with no moral compass is one of the lasting legacies of the rise of the national-security state, pioneered by a panicky George W. Bush in the aftermath of Sept. 11 and now seemingly with us forever.

Maybe, I just remember as a kid all the stories about J. Edgar Hoover and how much of a criminal he was. I think the FBI, BATF and the rest of the alphabet agencies, many of them are clandestine and we have no idea what they do or who they are, need to be eliminated or “reimagined” into something worthy.

So kids…if anyone comes up to you and says,”Hey, you want to be part of a conspiracy to take down the current occupant of the White House?”, the correct answer is, “No, not at this time”.

The DOJ wouldn’t investigate Hunter before the election.

"Undercover work is one thing but have the agents actually lead the gangs and provoke the crimes has to be against a law somewhere."

FBI infilltration and instigation leading to criminal entrapment is nothing new. Definitely not within the spirit of "blind" justice. Yet the outrage depends on which side's ox is being gored.

“law enforcement must not cause the events they are supposed to prevent.”

I agree there should be a new law dictating this, and violation of it should be a mandatory death sentence in cases where lives are lost or where any person is injured resulting in a hospital admission.

The law should apply to anyone involved in a conspiracy to commit this particular crime, not just to FBI employees.

When one goes left expect

Failure, embarrassment, mendacity, favoritism, political partisanship, incompetent leadership.

It’s why the left wants to rewrite history.

***It ‘became’ that way? It always WAS that way. From the very beginning.

Who could have predicted that?

Anyone who bothered to read Wray’s CV. One of his oldest friends and longtime partners at King & Spalding - one of the biggest law firms in the world - was - wait for it - Sally Yates.

That’s right. Donald Trump hired Sally Yates’ personal friend and business partner to replace Sally Yates and then was shocked when nothing changed at the FBI.

Another partner at King & Spalding was Dan Coats, Trump’s first pick for DNI who repeatedly stabbed Trump in the back. Find out who put Coats and Wray up for their jobs and you’ll go a long way to finding out who worked to undermine Trump his entire tenure. Hint: It sounds like Mike Pence.

But, Trump also deserves his share of the blame for not personally vetting both Wray and Coats. It’s not like the King & Spalding connection was a secret.

The FBI has been using entrapment and he lied to the FBI forever....

Read. Police State...by Gerry Spence.....

The FBI does not record interviews....they take notes ....and write what they think they heard..

Ninety percent of DOJ cases never go to trial ....people make a plea deal...they charge you with so many things...the jury thinks he must be guilty of something..

When you list all of the great things President Trump accomplished, it is just a little understandable for him to rely on SOME OTHER PEOPLE, whom he trusted to advise him on some prickly appointments.

Not making excuses, but you must admit, Pres did not have many REAL friends in the administration.

AND DAN COATS, GEEZ. He always was my candidate for the famous betrayal OpEd. That creep did A LOT OF DAMAGE.

Your post reminded me of another VERY worthwhile book for anyone to read. Refusenik-trapped in the Soviet Union, written by Mark Ya. Azbel. One can see many parallels between the FBI and the KGB. Especially in their MO’s.

Yes. The FBI needs to be defunded as do most of the other agencies starting with the FBI and ending with the IRS.

The FBI has long relied on provocations. I wonder if it works the other way as well. Do activists with their own agendas become FBI agents to carry out their plans? Sort of like the Boston Irish-American agent who idolized and collaborated with Whitey Bulger?
