An Ohio man federal prosecutors say is an "incel" was charged in federal court this week with attempting a hate crime for his plot to kill women.
Tres Genco, 21, was arrested Wednesday and is also facing charges related to illegally possessing a machine gun, according to the Justice Department.
Prosecutors say Genco identified as an incel or an "involuntary celibate," a community of mostly men who harbor anger toward women who they believe owe them sexual or romantic attention. Some incels seek to commit violence to support this belief.
Genco's indictment includes startling detail of the months-long efforts prosecutors say he took to plan a mass shooting and to purchase weapons and other equipment to fulfill that goal.
According to the indictment reviewed by NPR, Genco maintained a profile on a popular incel website from at least July 2019 through mid-March 2020. He posted frequently on this site, it alleges.
In his posts, he sometimes expressed admiration for Elliot Rodger, who in May 2014, killed six people and injured 14 others. Some of Rodger's victims were shot outside a University of California, Santa Barbara sorority house.

A while back American Thinker published an article about Incels along with links to websites and message boards. Lots of threats, violent fantasies. Constantly egging each other on to commit suicide. No doubt the darkest sh!t I have seen and we’re talking about the internet here.
Be afraid of incels.
Remember the skinny (or fat) awkward kid whose timing and humor was always off and had few or no friends in high school?
They all found each other on the internet and created their own cult like explanation of their social difficulties that blames society in general and pretty women in particular for their inability to get girl friends.
Their worldview and opinion of women is heavily informed by porn and Islam (just the women as chattel part) and their own narcissism.
WTF is “a popular incel website”? Could the author of this article been any more vague? What exactly is he/she/they/it hiding?
Killing women is acceptable, in the right context. See China, or Planned Parenthood.

Check the receipt for the weapons and “other stuff” and see if the FBI paid for it.
I would double check to make sure they were behind the acquisition of the ‘shoulder goes up thingy’. Were there any 50 gallon drum mags found?
And how long was this one in the FBI’s database?

Guys who ask women what they want are not attractive to women; and women are not introspective, as well as being protective of their own reputations. So they tell a guy what would make them look good to say, rather than admitting what really attracts them.
"What attracts them" is hot rebellious losers when they're young, and suddenly providers when they turn around 30.
So the guy tries their advice and strikes out, and rather than pull back, and consider if he's been given bad advice, he gets mad at the women who don't behave according to how women he trusted, said they would.
As the women joke with each other, "Women aren't a vending machine you put chivalry and attention into until sex comes out."
...but the women themselves, lamenting the bad boys who pump &dump *them*, never realize that "hawt exciting rebellious bad boys aren't a vending machine you put sex into until a wedding ring falls out."
...married over 30 years here. I've worked at jobs with a lot of women who just considered me part of the furniture and never realized I could actually, you know, hear what they say to each other.
BTW, there are several different groups in the manosphere; you're only describing one of them.
