The Department of Homeland Security on Thursday extended its travel restrictions between the US and Canada to Aug. 21 — following the announcement by Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau that the borders would reopen to fully vaccinated Americans on Aug. 9.
“Given the outbreak and continued transmission and spread of COVID-19 within the United States and globally, the Secretary has determined that the risk of continued transmission and spread of the virus associated with COVID-19 between the United States and Canada poses an ongoing ‘specific threat to human life or national interests,” according to the notification posted to the Federal Register.

So what? Canada has become ChiCom. Their “national boss” says he loves ChiComs and their leader...don’t wanna go there.
Darn…now I can’t go to Canada.
But, if you’re a citizen of China, you can travel to Canada no problem.
Canada’s loss, I guess. But, I do know a few people who had boats stuck up in the Great Lakes and were hoping to get them back to Florida this year without paying a professional captain to move the boat for them (which Canada is permitting) through the Seaway or paying to put it on a freighter.
At least half of the St. Lawrence Seaway was paid for by US taxpayers but Canada is saying FU, you can’t use it. It’s BS.

One country or the other has done this - every month since it started.
If you’re Canadian and want to get into the US, fly to Mexico, and make sure you get one of those cool white T-shirts before heading north.

This is ridiculous. I would like to some time soon be able to go to my US box address in Ogdensburg, NY as to pick up the few things waiting there for me. I don’t see how this is a danger as I’ve received both jabs. And I’m sure that businesses in Watertown and Syracuse are looking forward to the return of cross border shopping as well.
Facts?
Preventative supplements were out there, Vitamin D3, Vit. C, Zinc and Magnesium were out there for about 10 cents per day dosage. Hundreds of scientific reports verifying the positive and preventative effects were out there from medical experts and being reported.
Cures for the sickness were out there, also from medical experts. Ivermectin, Hydroxychloroquine and Remdesivir. Given when diagnosed with the Covid it is generally gone within a week.
And the “NUMBERS?” - Look at the tragedy of thousands of sick people placed into senior living and nursing homes where so many more would knowingly become infected and die. So tragic that they passed away locked in isolation unable to have their family or friends with them as they died from the mistakes of those governors. And the reports are out there that more money was made from each of those deaths that could be attributed to Covid!
Title is wrong. It’s the US that has the ban.

As of last week, Canada has vaccinated a higher percentage of their population than the U.S.
And is piling onto their lead by one percentage point per day.
