A new poll found most Republicans would support Donald Trump in the 2024 primary for president if he were to run for office again.
A survey released Tuesday from the John Bolton Super PAC found 46 percent of likely general election voters would back Trump being the party's nominee—the highest level of support of any potential presidential candidate polled by more than 30 points.
In second was Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis, who had 13 percent support. DeSantis has been praised by Republicans for his approach to the COVID-19 pandemic, as Florida lifted restrictions before many other states.
Former Vice President Mike Pence ranked third in the hypothetical survey with 6 percent support among likely voters.
Former United Nations Ambassador Nikki Haley, Texas Sen. Ted Cruz and Florida Sen. Marco Rubio all polled at 5 percent. South Dakota Gov. Kristi Noem had 1 percent support while Missouri Rep. Josh Hawley and South Carolina Sen. Tim Scott saw zero support.

Trump said in late April that he is "100 percent" thinking about running for president for a third time.
At that time, he also said he would consider DeSantis as a potential running mate should he decide to mount another White House campaign. Trump has claimed a lot of people "love" a ticket featuring him and DeSantis.
Two potential 2024 hopefuls that are unlikely to get an invitation to be Trump's running mate are Haley and former New Jersey Gov. Chris Christie. Both Republicans have been critical of Trump in the aftermath of the 2020 election and the Jan. 6 insurrection at the U.S. Capitol.
In a recent Vanity Fair interview, Trump slammed Christie as "disloyal" and said Haley made a mistake by making "a little nasty couple of comments."

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
None of them are natural born citizens and eligible.
Who the hell would vote for Mike Pence?
South Carolina Sen. Tim Scott saw zero support.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
LOL, he was the Bush League Republicans great black hope.
Unless they make sure the vote is secure there is no reason for Trump to run again.
The only one questionable would be Cruz. The other two definitely are based on the Constitution and adjudicated case law...as you well know by now but keep repeating this for some reason.
Hawley is a Senator.
Ted Cruz was born in Canada. His mother was a U.S. citizen. His father, a Cuban, was not. Under U.S. law, the fact that Cruz was born to a U.S. citizen mother makes him a citizen from birth. In other words, he is a “natural born citizen” (as opposed to a naturalized citizen) and is constitutionally eligible.
“South Dakota Gov. Kristi Noem had 1 percent support”
That’s still a higher percentage than the number of guys claiming to be girls, so her support is expanding!
Unless and until 2020 is solved this is already all for naught.
Natural born citizens are naturally citizens because they were born here of citizen parents and could not be anything else.
Jindal, Haley, Rubio and George P. Bush all had foreign national parents.
That made them foreign nationals of their parents countries at birth.
Anyone born with divided loyalty, allegiance and citizenship is PRECISELY who the founders were excluding.

Educate yourself. Don’t take the word of the Washington Post.
Read the some history and the words of the founders and it will become very clear what they meant.
They meant to exclude anyone with divided loyalties.
They were specifically excluding the children of foreigners.

I want Trump in the white House with a +10% mandate minimum.
Thank you for posting this. Please keep posting it, we can’t afford to forget it.
Educate yourself. Don’t take the word of Google. Ted Cruz is a natural born citizen at birth because of his mom.
No, I will not take the word of google
I’m thinking the same thing. Who would vote for Pence?
LOL. John Bolton Super PAC.
He has an INS file that describes when he got his citizenship, paperwork had to be filed.
We need to see it.
We know he was still a Canadian citizen until 2014.
No one with more than one citizenship is naturally an American.
Just what do you suppose was the distinction between a ‘Citizen’ and a Natural Born Citizen’ as expressed in Article II Section 1?
‘No Person except a natural born Citizen, or a Citizen of the United States, at the time of the Adoption of this Constitution, shall be eligible to the Office of President; ......’
Naturl Born Citizen is someone who was a U.S. citizen at birth with no need to go through a naturalization proceeding at some later time. If one of your parents was a US citizen, which is the case for Ted Cruz, you are a natural born US citizen.
